The pastries were delicious, the customer service is a different story. We weren't offered any drinks, they assumed we were taking the pastries to go, so they were in a hurry to put them on plates.Once we paid and sat down, we were basically ignored.

Everything is fabulous! Quiches, sandwiches, even the French flatbread (my favorite) were so fresh. The options for pastries is hard to narrow down as we loved them

The pastries were all beautiful and delicious. I ordered the macaron, tarte aux framboises, marquise and paris-brest. The macaron was the most delicious. The macaron was chewy and sweet, lychee cream was so rich and the berries gave it such a fresh flavor. Loved it! The tarte wasn't too sweet with fresh raspberries. It had a nice almond flavor and the light dusting of powdered sugar on top looks so pretty! The marquise was tasty until I found a hair in it, yuck! Maybe the ladies in the front should wear hats or hairnets even though they are not making the pastries themselves. The paris-brest was the least sweet one. It was very light and fluffy with a nice almond flavor. The service was fast and the lady ringing me out was friendly and smiling! Also online ordering is super easy. I picked up a birthday cake from there for the first time it was so pretty and tasted amazing. The parfait cake is a good choice if you love rich chocolate mousse.

I used to struggle to make interesting deserts. Now we have La Gourmandine and I simply go there and get something better than I could ever hope to create. We are blessed.

I lived in Paris for a year and missed authentic croissants and sandwiches. This place has both. Their baguettes are amazing and the prices are so reasonable especially for the quality. They have a pastry and drink specials for under 5 bucks. It's so nice to have a place like this in Pittsburgh. There are multiple locations also.

If you ever sat outside at a Paris cafe people-watching, you will love this place. Pros: everything I have tasted is just better than anywhere else around Pittsburgh, unless you compare it to La Gourmandine's downtown location haha. Their croissants are straight, meaning it is made with butter, and every type of bread I have tried tasted so good. And don't get me started on the pastries! Cons: I wish we lived closer and it was easier to get to... Summary: best bakery in Pittsburgh, without a doubt. Pro-tip: save yourself the pressure being overwhelmed by all the choices at the bakery by ordering online...

Worst experience I’ve ever had. We preordered a number of cakes and breads for our family dinner. The order was 3 hours late and wrong. I had to fight with the manager to finally get the right order. He slammed the delivery door in my face and call the police - or pretended to even though he screwed up the order. I recommend you avoid this location at all costs.

What can you say but num num num! Parking was a bit tough .. it was a small lot and they were getting a delivery of some sorts. But...As soon as you walk in you are greeted with a beautiful display of fabulousness! Transformed from PGH to France! The staff was super nice and patient as I looked over all the goodies to choose from. In the end .. selected the almond croissant (OMG! Where have you been my entire life) and a Gourmandise which I selfishly ate in the car on the drive home refusing to share .. hey don't judge. Def going back and maybe the new Xmas morning treat for the family moving forward.
