First impression is of a bright and clean interior. Counter staff were welcoming, and my order taken and filled quickly. I had a chocolate shake, and I have no regrets. I can always buy a bigger size pair of pants.

So many delicious choices to make! Today we tried a new item, Affogato. It's made with espresso and vanilla custard. They're now serving coffee as well as frozen custard. We also had a favorite, the mango Gelati. Italian ice on top of vanilla custard. Staff is always pleasant. Restaurant is always sparkling clean.

I ordered a cake for my sons birthday party. When I arrived there was a mixup, I received a cake which turned out not to be the cake we ordered. The manager I spoke with was super friendly and offered resolution. Things happen, the kids still had fun and enjoyed the “mystery” cake.Side note, my 3 pups LOVE the ol’ roy doggie sandwiches. Tail wagging item for sure. Great idea!!

Bottom line up front... quality ice cream, clean and modern facility, location is convenient to those traveling on Route 22 or Route 981 near New Alexandria, PA. For anyone visiting Keystone State Park this establishment is within about 5 miles or less from the park, and the flavors of the day are prominently posted on an electronic sign out front and visible from the intersection to lure in customers... it is better at attracting customers than I am at attracting fish at the lake. Keystone State Park has a snack bar with ice cream good basic ice cream too, but nothing as special as what the Meadows serves. We live about 4 miles from this business, travel past it many times a week, we ALWAYS slow down to see the flavors of the day, and when the favorites pop up on the sign the result is that we almost always have a quart of something from The Meadows in our freezer at the house!
