“This is the second time I’ve gotten takeout from here and I have to say it’s always a wonderful experience. The people are so nice and friendly snd they’re always so helpful. The first time I got the Delizia salad with the chicken on it and it was so delicious! And today I got something as simple as the classic chicken sandwich and Most pizza places give you chicken that’s rubbery and full of gristle but this chicken sandwich was unbelievable! They put a lot of chicken breast on it and it’s cooked perfectly it was nice and tender and had no gristle. The fries were nice and crisp and crunchy too. And the brioche roll that it came on was super delicious. This place is a great little find and awesome for a quick meal on the run. Their pizza I’m sure is great as well I haven’t tried that yet. There are plenty of pizza places around and they all serve the same restaurant depot food. Steel Penny is top notch!“

Let's start with the great service from their wait staff. Izzy, Gabriel, and Sarah were my main wait staff, BUT all the wait staff help each other. So if Izzy, Gabriel, or Sarah are busy taking care of other customers, their co-workers just jump right in and take care of your questions and/or needs quickly. “Wow, what an experience! We were able to secure a reservation for a Thursday night, which was difficult. We enjoyed the ambiance, the staff, and most importantly, our meal!I had the lobster bisque for a starter, my husband had the clam chowder and our table shared large Caesar salads. “This was an interesting find in the Huntingdon Valley area. My chicken rollatini was delicious along with the side vegetables. Unfortunately, my husband's strip steak was not very tender. We wouldn't recommend ordering that. The tiramisu was delicious. It was a very nice atmosphere and even though it was filled with people we could still talk at our table. The service could have been better. We waited longer than we wished for the waiter to come take our order, and to ask about dessert. We may try again when it's less crowded and try something else on the menu.“

“This is the most carefully crafted pizza I think I’ve had in my life. We ordered the Philly Sicilian and 12 piece wings. The sauce carries throughout the surface area of the pizza and the cheese has so much flavor. The wing meat also falls off the bone, “

“We were looking for something different and came across Spuntino's.First off, it was a bit difficult to find. It is located inside a mini 'mall-type' location with a few other establishments. The sitting area is located down the walkway from the actual cooking area which is just inside the entrance. Bit better signage would be beneficial. (Watched a couple inquire at the counter, walk past the seating area, walk back to the counter before coming back and sitting down).The pizzas are 10" individual pies and are quite tasty. I prefer a bit thicker pizza, but overall it was pretty good.Overall, I guess the question at the end of the day is, would we go there again if in the area, and I believe the answer would be yes.Parking: Parking is at a meter on the street or in a paid lot around the corner.“

I have tried many pizza shops in Philly, and this is a top pizza spot in the suburbs (top 5, including downtown Philly pizza spots). Also, the pizza heats up well in an air fryer or oven the next day, as some pizzas don't warm up well from my experience. Honestly, I tried it based on Google reviews and reading from the website it's a family business. The interior is a throwback to the 90s/2000s with family pictures and old-school booths. The service was quick and efficient, with no issues at all. Parking was free and open, but I came at dinner time, so there was less parking in the front. I can only knock them out for not having too many vegetarian options like eggplant-based dishes, but I can understand they want to focus on a smaller menu and be the best at it. “Spatola's pizza is one of our favorites in the area. We're a local repair shop, and everyone the shop absolutely loves it. It's always fresh, warm, and amazing quality. All came with salads, salad dressing, and rolls. Each of these meals were large portions. If you want to share or have a second serving, that would not be a problem. Plenty of food to eat. I don't live locally but when I came back to visit, I was thrilled to take my mom here to dine. Mom is no longer with us so we had a luncheon in her memory this month. Mom's favorites were the French onion soup, shrimp scampi and the homemade (by Angelo's wife) Tiramisu. I appreciate the gluten free options, the gf pasta was terrific, so is their gf pizza. For the luncheon the portions were generous, the food delicious.Angelo is no longer with us but his wife, his son and his wife make coming to a restaurant seem like you are coming home. I grew up eating Italian food, homemade by my grandmom who arrived to the U.S. in the 1920s.
