Stopped by to buy some Syrian bread and baklava. They had two packages of the small rounds left. Made my lamb and when we went to eat it, the same day, the bread was not fresh. I have always loved their Syrian bread….not this time. The baklava was also a disappointment. I thought baklava was made with honey not simple syrup which is sugar water. Couldn’t really taste any spices and it had a rancid smell. Very disappointed.

Every time I'm back in New Castle, i come here. The food is always excellent. I live in New York, over 30 years now, still can't find a place like Mary's. Food is excellent, people are great. My wife walked in on their family thanksgiving party one year; they were closed but they still gave us food to take with us. I've never left disappointed.

We are from out of state. Our regular in town restaurant was closed so we decided to try something new. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was high quality and was generous in portion size for a reasonable price. If you want to try middle eastern cuisine or are already familiar with it, Mary's is the place to go.

Everyone is so nice, you feel like family. Great atmosphere, love the decor. The food is amazing, and I love the chicken and rice, grape leaves and kibbeh! Often get the taste of Syria when I'm not that hungry but want a little bit of everything. Their falafel is great too! Can't forget their fresh buns and garlic sauce, and the hot tea! Always take some home! Prices are more than fair, and I would go as far to say, some items are priced too low! You get more than you pay for. Such restaraunts are few and far between, so it's nice to see a place like this is still around!
