“Dear Kneppers Restaurant Management Team, I am writing to express my appreciation for the wonderful dining experience I had at your restaurant, thanks to the exceptional service provided by Marie. Her warm and friendly demeanor, combined with her extensive knowledge of the menu, made my visit truly delightful. Marie recommended the rib eye steak with French onion soup for dipping, and I must say it was an absolute delight. The steak was cooked to perfection and paired beautifully with the savory flavors of the soup. Overall, I would highly recommend Kneppers restaurant to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience. And if you happen to stop by, I highly recommend seeking out Marie for her expert recommendations and outstanding service. Thank you for a truly memorable meal. Sincerely, Angelo and Jackie“

“I don't know of a spectacular way to say thank you for all the courtesy and kindnesses given to me as I was dining/celebrating with my son on his (over 21st. birthday) so from the bottom of my heart I say (once again) thank you---------for everything, Glen & Rose! The service, preparation, care of the order, and, up to and including the delivery of our food make me value this West Penn Diner experience as worthwhile and I feel appreciated as a customer. The atmosphere is comfortable and cozy and the diner is clean. It is also really worth noting that your omelettes are just the very best! There is nothing to add except another order to them. All the ingredients that are included on the plate equal perfection. I feel confident to write that I bet all the customers feel that with all of these orders of perfection being carried out from the kitchen I believe you have a deadly combination of satisfied, happy and grateful customers. We are coming back. Sincerely, Mary E.“

“It was a fun atmosphere the girl at the bar had it going on. I thought she was the bar manager but when I asked her if she is the bar manager she asked me if I’d like to speak to the bar manager. “I just moved into the neighborhood and me and my boyfriend are in the restaurant/bar business. The only time we have the opportunity to come in is after work. It is not a welcoming place. It is a very cliquey place. We tip 100% and not once got a “thank you” or even a positive greeting. We always have the same bartender and she is always some bigger woman who doesn’t want to leave the end of the bar to tend to customers as she is on her phone: To whomever the owners are, know this: You had good intentions by buying a restaurant/ bar. I can hear the live music from my home which I enjoy. Instead of opening a bar to serve the community, you hired a bartender who has created an unwelcoming environment. As my boyfriend and I walked to our car tonight and left with a pint glass, the bartender had a guy chase us down. My boyfriend could have made that really bad for the drunk guy, but that was all in the bartender’s bad judgement and incapability of running a bar. She was too busy on her phone at the end of the bar. I know we will never be back. If the owners ever want to reach out or know where they fell short, they can reach out to us and we will gladly assist for free.“

Mountain Valley Golf Course American • $$
1021 Brockton Mountain Dr, Barnesville - 9.67 miles

“We were going for “fun and tasteful” for our wedding with great views and that’s exactly what we got! This is very long, but it’s all of the information I know I was looking for in reviews, from an August 2022 bride.Mountain Valley was the perfect venue for our wedding in August and we lucked out with perfect weather. MV had the gold chiavari chairs, great air conditioning, a beautiful ceremony view, a great rain option for the ceremony, good meal choices, large and beautiful bridal suite, the connection with the Comfort Inn down the road with shuttles, and we loved the view on the deck that overlooks one of the courses. We went with the chicken francese, filet mignon, and penne alla vodka with green beans and roasted potatoes. I would not have changed our meals, they were great! The chicken was not dry at all and I really appreciate that the green beans were definitely fresh and cooked perfectly. We had the former coordinator for the first 7 months of our planning. We found out she left and a lot of our details were not documented. This was very frustrating and scary, but coordinators change and it’s not the current staff’s fault. Make sure you get details in writing. With that said, Nancy and Shannon were great! Nancy honored many details such as our ceremony start time, rehearsal dinner (highly recommend!), and we did not get charged the sparkler fee because that was a new change after our contract. We had some odd preferences that Nancy and Shannon honored such as served coffee and cake and bar open during dinner (added fee). We had a few sober groomsmen and Nancy picked up on this at our rehearsal dinner. She offered them NA beers that they had left over from another event and even offered to go on her own time to pick up more NA beer for them for the wedding since we weren’t from the area so they had something to drink- thank you for taking care of our guys!! There was a wedding the night before, but you would never know, other than the smell of bleach in the morning when we walked in, which tells me it’s clean! Having shuttles and the ability for guests to leave their cars overnight if needed was really appreciated too for safety. A huge shout-out to Frank and Gorilla for driving everyone around and making sure our guests were safe!Hotel: We used the Comfort Inn & Suites down the road for our block and after party and it was great!Rehearsal/Dinner: Officiants can help with rehearsals, but ours was a friend. Nancy did a great job telling us what to do and when. It was so easy, we were good with one run-through. We booked the overlook pavilion for the rehearsal dinner with a tab bar. They had nice tables with tablecloths set up. The weather was warm, but breezy and the doors were open for a cross breeze that was so nice.Bridal suite: We had a shuttle in the morning to get ready. We got the continental breakfast and mimosas in the suite as well, which was very nice to have. Know your timeline and when you need to be downstairs for the shuttle. We also opted for a private cocktail hour after the ceremony in the bridal suite for all of the bridesmaids and groomsmen to go upstairs and have refreshments/drinks. This was a great time for everyone to cool off, grab some food, and freshen up before the grand entrances.Bar- We got the premium option and added the extra hour during dinner. We also got the outside bar. We really didn’t have a large wedding that would call for 2 bars, but it was so nice for guests to be able to go outside and relax instead of just sitting at their table or going back and forth. The outside bar will pull guests outside and possibly away from the dance floor, but I didn’t care. I danced all night and was so happy that we had so many guests enjoying themselves with the great views outside and the cool night breeze. Our guests have been raving about the ceremony view and the ability to relax outside at night and understood why we chose Mountain Valley for our wedding.“
