Definitely a neighborhood bar with eating area in the back food is moderately good but the prices are ridiculous. It's been taken over by Carmine's Pizza in the same Shopping Center and the prices have climbed. If the food was spectacular we wouldn't mind paying the price but not for bar

Definitely need to stick with the roast beef sandwich only …my gut told me I should not order the petite sirloin steak even though it said potato or french fries and vegetable du jour on the menu is served with it. Potato option: mashed instant potatoes not a baked potato and weirdly… I was not served a vegetable with my steak at all. 1990s style at best.

Got a roast beef sandwich here that was so good I’ll overlook that the pretzel came with no cheese.

I love the staff and the food is excellent. My bf and family love the roast beef sandwich. I get the soul of the day every day.Parking: There is parking out front but it gets pretty packed. I park in the back parking lot. It’s a short walk.Kid-friendliness: I take my nieces with my almost every weekend. They love Jerry and Ornella.

Food was okay but definitely nothing to brag about. Service terrible. Maybe 5 other customers in the restaurant and it took over 40 min for our food. Waitress never asked us how the food was and instead was complaining about the cook. After we got our food she never came back on her own. We had to ask for refills and one of the items missing from our order. Also when we first came in and were ordering drinks, she said they didn’t have regular Pepsi, only diet. Then when I asked for a root beer she said it was flat. Another customer asked for bud light and they were out of that and several other beers. Very disorganized and would not recommend this place.Wheelchair accessibility: Definitely not wheelchair accessible/ or walker for that matter.

I moved out of the area 20 years ago. This used to be a favorite spot, and having lived a number of places around the country, I realize that you just can't get hand cut roast beef sandwiches most other places. So on this return visit, I made it a point to return to The Ale House. Fortunately, nothing has changed... that sandwich is everything I remember, especially with some sharp provolone topping it. We had their tortilla soup and an order of wings. It was all great, but that roast beef is the star of the show.

I was excited to try their famed roast beef sandwich but it wasn't as good as advertised. Not very big and not enough dip. It wasn't bad but I wouldn't recommend going out of your way for it.
