I believe I made my first sandwich when I was about 3, slathering peanut butter and jelly on my toast. Since I'll be celebrating 70 years on this planet in a few short months, I'd like to think I know a little about sandwiches. I don't frequent Subway, but I've been there enough times to know what they're all about. The idea that they now slice their meats in front of you made me curious. In addition, I got coupons in my mailbox. I decided to try them out and see if the advertising matched up with what they were serving.I ordered 2 foot long subs, one for myself and one for my son. I ordered a signature sub for him and a ham for myself. I ordered my bread and watched them dig the meat out of a cooler box.It seemed sparse to me, but I don't judge until I've tasted. I got American cheese and a selection of condiments; green peppers, red onions, lettuce, tomato, cucumber and mayo. I've had this combination before and have even made it at home.I also got both sandwiches heated. When I order any sandwich, I expect the dominant flavor to be what I ordered. In this case, it would be ham. What I didn't taste was the ham.I get that I had a number of vegetables in my sandwich, but the protein should hold up to any additions. In fact, I didn't get a taste of ham until my final bite. It was disappointing, to say the least. They also do not cut the meats to order and I mentioned this to the counter help. They responded by saying they do cut it fresh, in the morning. This is certainly not what the advertising would represent.Other deli sandwiches are made fresh, right in front of you. The meats are sliced as ordered. I think this advertising is made to reflect a genuine deli experience where instead it is Subway business as usual. This meat was not cut fresh and the excuse from the staff was weak at best. Most of my sandwich was cucumber and green pepper dominant. I didn't taste the cheese or the tomato and the mayo seemed not to be there at all. This was a poor excuse for a quality sub.I'm thinking about trying other locations to see if I have the same experience or if it is isolated at this location. Having owned and run a deli many years ago, I can certainly tell the difference between fresh product and pre packaged items. This was most certainly not a quality ham sliced to order. You would think that being in close proximity to an actual deli would make them do better. That is not the case here.I will admit that the place seemed clean and well maintained. Of course, I wouldn't expect any less from a place that had more employees than customers. Clean doesn't represent product quality. The proof is in the tasting.

First time at a Subway since they "refreshed". It was a Monday early evening and we got our food to go. I like being the only one in a Subway line as that system, I feel, when there is a line, tends to slow down getting your meal. Although I have been in a situation where there were more than one worker moving the line that did help. I had a simple turkey footling with veggies. Everything looked and tasted more fresh. I enjoyed.

I've always liked subway but I'm not sure if I'll be back. My family and I got 2 footlongs and a flatbread. Nothing special, nothing added and no sides. The bill came to almost $31. That's very steep. Plus they put minimal, meat lettuce, etc. I had to ask for more lettuce and onions. That's outrageous.

My fiance, mother in law along with our newborn and myself stopped past this Subway ? on Allegheny River Blvd. (Oakmont) for a quick bite to eat!On this day 6/22/22 an older woman with glasses and two(2) other female employees were all unsanitary. We mentioned numerous times for them to change their gloves ?.Close to the end of our order request one of the women grabbed up a cup ,but placing her finger tips on the inside of the cup instead of grasping the sides. After an uncountered with the Vocellis pizza next door, we decided to make a second trip to "Subway" for a healthy chicken salad ?When my fiance entered, she was petite and excused herself for disturbing them, but want to ask a question about the salad (s).The one female employee in training immediately said, "I refuse to want on you" ??This is when we realized nor ONLY did it seem like a racial discrimination, but lack of knowledge on conducting a business to the public. We all know in order to get respect, you first have to give it.After talking to afew ex- workers from this same subway. It was made very clear and confirmed that even in 2022 with a pandemic and so much going on in the world people still have the time to fit racism into their so called busy schedule
