J Whelihan's on at least 20yrs, and I've never been to Oaks, where I'm writing this review. But, I must say that this was an awesome experience and I'll definitely be back. My brother turned me on to the Oaks spot. Thank you for making it worth my time and effort ?”

“Wed night is the dosa buffet. You get a paper where you check off the varieties of dosa you want and they come out 5 at a time. Otherwise an order takes 30 mins to prepare. “We ordered take out for the office (15 people) and since the order was slightly delayed, they immediately came out to let me know and offered me a drink while I waited. They also gave us some cookies as a thank you for waiting! Bob was the person who went above and beyond and we appreciated it. The food is always good and the service today was outstanding!!”

“Stopped by here for a quick bite on our way through. Had a taco style pizza in fajita flavoring. The pizza was actually very, very good and had lots of toppings and tons of chicken on it. It did not have very much fajita flavoring though and would be better called a grilled chicken pizza. I do want to go back and try their taco pizza at some time. Only about 3 tables inside to sit and eat and there are more outside when the weather is nice. It seems they are mainly a take out order pizza shop. The workers were very nice and helpful as well. Recommended.”

“This was a special dinner, a nine year anniversary of a relationship and we had a lovely time. The food was excellent, the service, efficient and unobtrusive and the atmosphere was good. There was unobtrusive but agreeable music. It had a distinctive atmosphere for me, reminiscent almost of 30s movies and I would recommend it for a memorable evening. When we went it was obviously prom time at a local school. Being a former Brit, this is not an experience I ever had and it was nice to see the formality of the students.Kid-friendliness: This is likely not a place to expect crayons and paper mats to colour in, but well behaved kids seemed welcome. It is an grown up dining experience and if you are trying to socialise your children, this is a good place to come to.”

“The Melting Pot is one of my favorite restaurants so my husband took me for a birthday dinner. Our server Eddie was amazing, attentive, personable, and just added something extra special to the evening. I always recommend the melting pot to people and now if in the KOP area ask for Eddie to be your server if possible.”

It’s well decorated—interior design is thoughtful and tasteful, not tacky.It shares parking in the back with several other small establishments. Today it’s pouring outside, so it’s extra quiet. Yet I can imagine parking may be challenging on a sunny day.Food-wise, I think their sushi rolls are better than their ramen—I’m just not into their noodle’s texture. Their sushi rolls are of decent size and quality in their respective price category.Service is friendly. My only reservation today is: The restaurant is noticeably cold, as if they didn’t turn on the heat.”

“We came here a few times in the early Autumn with some friends who we hadn't seen in a while, because they wanted to introduce us to this place, knowing how I'm a big fan of the 1950s and would get a kick out of the awesome decor throughout. As soon as you walk in, you get greeted with memorabilia and even old movies playing on a projector screen. But more importantly, the food. I really enjoyed their chili dogs. Their crinkle fries are better than I'm used to elsewhere, but I still don't love them. Their Pepsi fountain sodas are OK (though they really should upgrade to Coca-Cola products), and their shakes are excellent (I tried the butterscotch shake one time). One thing I did not care for, however, was their malt. I literally did not get any malt flavor in my chocolate shake until quite literally the very end, because it was all caked on the bottom of the cup and not mixed throughout. I know not to get that if we return to that place when they reopen. Weird that an indoors place like this would even close for the winter, that's usually the time of year I'm really craving this kind of food and atmosphere.”

“This is a hidden gem of Royersford. Chicken so tender its like butter and literally falls off the bone. The rice and beans is like none ive ever had before, and the plantains are perfection. The owners are so incredibly sweet and friendly. Cannot recommend this place more.”

“al pastor and birria tacos were so good! stopped by for taco tuesday with my friend and we were so impressed. the service was fast, the pastor was tender and flavorful, the birria was perfectly rich, and the tacos came with delicious roasted peppers and tortilla chips. honestly we were amazed that you can still get so much good food at such a good price around here. definitely stop by if you're around the collegeville area!!Kid-friendliness: there are some not kid-friendly items from the convenience store on display right near the ordering counter, so i would probably not take kids inside. food is great though!”

“We ordered pizza from here and it was wonderful. We had a complicated order and they got everything correct. It was only $35 for two pizzas with a ton of toppings. The pizza was delicious and the sausage was very high quality. The crust was nice and crispy and the vegetables were plentiful on the white pizza. Would love to try their other menu items as well.Vegetarian options: Lots of veggies that can be added. Many pizza options without meat.”
