Been ordering from this place from years. It's the best pizza in the world (after my in-laws' fire-oven Miyoko mozzarella cheese pizza!), with artisanal sourdough crust. I love how salty and crisp it is, with a nice char, especially when you order it "WELL DONE". I think I have had every pie, and they've changed their recipes over the year, but the Balboa is definitely excellent, as are the Plain cheese, Marinara, Funghi, and Veggie but I also sometimes go for the White and occasionally the Haymaker.But my elegant favorite is a custom design: The Marinara, with black olives, and lemon ricotta cashew cheese!This is the kind of place you'd probably want to go to weekly. There's no comparable vegan pizza nearby!!!Vegetarian options: The entire menu is vegan (and therefore vegetarian, since vegan is vegetarian and dairy-free and egg-free).Dietary restrictions: Everything is vegan!
as both a service industry worker and lover of food i can say omg this place fully Has It All. the food is incredibly tasty, the pizzas are well-balanced and come out just right, the salad is actually interesting and pleasant to eat, the breadsticks are fluffily to-die-for, the drink selection is excellent, and holy cow those cookies!! yumm!! not only that but the service actually matches the food! everyone behind the counter is so sweet and chill and clearly good at what they do. always a pleasure to visit here.

Got delivery as a surprise for my girlfriend the other week and ordered through their website. The pizza was delicious and everything arrived within the time window they stated. We got the Popeye and the plain cheese (styled more like a Margherita) and both were amazing. It’s great to see vegan pies that aren’t just regular vegan cheese/pepperoni and are more creative in the toppings. Size of the pies were excellent for the price. We plan to go to the brick & mortar location and try a bunch of the special slices sometime. I also really appreciate how you get to choose your done-ness with the dough, I’ve found since moving from NYC most Philly pizza places leave their dough too chewy/undercooked for my personal liking. Highly recommend 20th Street Pizza!

I found two plastic shards inside of the meatballsTaking two stars off because while plastic shards are vegan, I prefer not to eat themedit: To the owner who responded, these are not pieces of flaky salt. I think I know what salt tastes like. When my girlfriend and I bit into the meatballs to have sharp pieces of plastic stuck into our gums, I just assumed a simple mistake. The best pizza I’ve had in such a long time- 20th street has Absolutley perfected the crust/dough in a way I didn’t know was possible outside of NY/NJ (and maybe even better??). We got there late (near close) and the two people behind the counter were so kind, friendly.. such a great energy. They let us stay while they cleaned up to enjoy our pizza and they even gave us all the extra slices to go- so generous. The pizza was delicious and their warmth allowed my friends and I to have such a good hang. Would go back here in a heartbeat. Highly recommend.Dietary restrictions: My stomach is sensitive to the vegan cheese so we left off the cheese on one half of the pie and it was fantastic.

can’t even tell it’s vegan bro, funghi pie was better than any shroom pie I’ve ever had! you can taste the quality ingredients. staff was friendly, when it got busy they still took the time to hand deliver my box to the back dining room and made sure I had what I needed before heading out. it’s a chill spot downtown for some great pizza!

I've had other vegan pizzas before, and while some have been delicious, they did not have that NY pizza crust that I grew up eating.
Their plain cheese pizza with added mushroom topping was just like having a slice from a regular NY pizzeria! The crust was so good and the cheese and toppings were decadent and yummy.
This hole in the wall fully earns all 5 stars. The dough is a sour dough with a 3 day process (as relayed by a staff member.) The sauce is great; as is everything I have had hear. Even the branding is spot on and my wife grabbed me a shirt I was raving about the the consummate approach to everything in this quintessential pizza shop.
If they are open and I am passing through Philly this is a must stop for me.
