I'm a huge fan of Sweet Amalia's, so when we were in the city looking for somewhere to eat I knew I had to check this place out! I starred off with an amazing drink and of course OYSTERS! Both of which were fantastic and a great start. I had the octopus lyonnaise for my meal and then the buttermilk panna cotta for dessert. We sat at the kitchen bar, which was really cool to watch the organized chaos of all of the hard work that goes into each plate. And our server was phenomenal. 5 stars! And already can't wait to go back!

So fricking delicious! We walked in on a Friday night and were able to snag a seat at the kitchen bar. That was almost a bad idea because then we wanted to try everything. Everything was phenomenal from appetizers, cocktails, dinner to dessert. I would highly recommend. We heard the menu rotates but we enjoyed the red curry chicken liver toast, roasted purple carrots, gougeres, chickpea pinasse, fluke and lemon tart!

Been going to a.kitchen for 12 years. Always innovative. My mentality is if I go out is to eat things I can’t cook at home or recipes I don’t even know exists. A.kitchen It’s delicious!

Chef Jack and crew ensured that we had a great time. Food was top notch: grilled carrots were delicious, and mains pork cheeks and steak were killer. Service was attentive and warm. Atmosphere at the chefs counter was engaging despite the chefs working hard. They made us feel special and seen. We left happy with filled tummies and spirits refreshed and renewed. Thank you, a.kitchen, for our first foray into Philly dining! Y’all set the bar high!

Overall: realistically more of a 3.5 star. I've heard a lot about this restaurant so finally decided to come for restaurant week for $60/person. Also serves natural wine here!! Food was fresh but the flavors were either too over powering or weak. Might possibly give it a second try for lunch or brunch Ordered: 3/5 Mussels: soaked in a light green curry (?) sauce, tasted like a very diluted Thai green curry sauce which didn't match the unflavorful mussel, probably would not get again 3.5/5 tuna crudo: everything about this dish was so good EXCEPT for the chili oil.. it overpowered the tuna freshness and toppings, def would've been a 4 if they lessened the oil 3/5 cod: also in the same green curry sauce as mussels, fish was good quality and soft.. but tasted very simple 4/5 waygu steak: perfectly medium rare, well seasoned and tender, portions were a bit smaller than expected.. 5 pieces? Ambiance: super cute for a date night, a bit too dark for my taste but very good vibes, restaurant isn't loud as all guests are respectful. Tip: natural wine is served here!!

was surprised it was under a 4 cause honestly it's just pretty sold 'new american' cuisine (steaks, chickens, a pasta) executed very well though! food overall was solid, everything a little on the heartier side for me altho maybe due to winter menu came on a friday night after making a res 1 week in advance w/out issue. they were doing restaurant week which is only economically worth it if u get the steak LOL so we got the steak, chickpea starter, mussels, and added on the ricotta wheel. steak was done well altho not special, mussels WAY better than chickpeas bc the mussel had a great herb/vibrancy. ricotta wheel is good, but quite dense. a lot of orange flavor tho so that was nice desserts were definitely weak imo (pot de creme/flan) for sure restaurant week dessert LOL. just super rich and not much else going on. couldn't finish ether DRINKS/WINE are the true winners here so come to explore those lists!! 1 cocktail + restaurant week dinner + added rcotta dish = $116/pp after tax and tp. defntely pricy for what you get but i'd come back to split fewer food plates and really just sit and drink!

Pretty satisfied with the overall experience. I really only ordered a club soda and an espresso. And then I went over to Fork. I would say that the bartender was friendly. But I think that it could've been better. I'm not really sure what it was, but I think that the original bartender who was working kind of slipped out and then another bartender kind of filled in. Like I'm not sure what the deal was there. Maybe they were in between shifts. But I don't really know. So I don't wanna say that it was a five star experience but it was definitely a 3 1/2 to 4 star experience. And i love Ms.Yin so I would never disparage any of her establishments. I think that overall it's always a five star experience, so I'll just come back next time and get the pork cheeks that I spoke to the chef about and that was a wonderful experience, because the cook/chef was very very nice to me. And I liked that. And the bathroom was super super clean. So that's also a huge plus.

Food and service were fantastic. My girlfriend and I had a menagerie of things, but the ones that stood out to me was the red curry chicken liver toast, and the wagyu bavette steak. I've never had chicken liver, but the combination was savory, salty, and a bit smokey sweet. The steak was a delight, very flavorful and tender. The deserts were fantastic. We had the maple panna cotta which was firm, sweet, and a bit bitter like espresso with maple, and dirty chai pot de creme which was espresso, chai, and chocolate. Both were excellent. It was a bit loud in here, that's my only issue. There were 2 mocktails, I had one and enjoyed it very much.

Service was great. Attentive, nice and pleasant. They work the cocktails descriptions. The food was very good. Nice bolognese, mussels, chicken liver pate. Tasty burger and potato wedges. The star was the duck breast. Tender and delicious. As good as a fine cut steak. Located in Rittenhouse Square, loads of restaurants and bars. Small, intimate space with bar, wood seating, great lighting.

Had multiple dishes including chicken liver on toast, half chicken, fish with romaine, and muscles with lemon grass. The muscles were transcnendeal. Wine list and bottle list were very impressive and enjoyed.Really great starters and cocktails (mezcal and aged rum with kiwi were the stand outs). Mains were solid! Little heavy on the flavor, but fun. Same with deserts (one was like a flan and the other was like a chocolate mousse with anise powder on top of the fresh whipped cream).
