Sadly, I am allergic to gluten, so I just live vicariously through my fiance who is obsessed with every single flavor of butter cake made by Barry's!

We ordered platters of mini buns and a small cake for our wedding dessert and had such a great experience. The buns were of course delicious and a huge hit with everyone. I worked with Jen to place the order and work on delivery details and she was super responsive and friendly. She worked directly with our venue for delivery and setup, and it was such a seamless experience. She even helped me with a bagel tray order for our wedding party while we were getting ready int he morning.

I bought a plain crumb cake through Philly Foodworks as a holiday treat for myself. It’s absolutely amazing! The cake is moist, light and delicious while the streusel is plentiful with the perfect level of sweetness and crunch. It’s the perfect special occasion treat with a cup of coffee.

A smaller footprint than their Wildwood NJ location, but they certainly play the hits. Great coffee cake, great cinnamon buns and friendly service. Absolutely worth a trip.

The best sticky buns I’ve ever had. They have 7 different varieties of sticky buns and they are all worth trying.

I love these buns! One of my all time fav baked goods. We recently moved from the area but have loved Barry's Buns for years (sorry for not reviewing way sooner!). These are authentic sticky buns with clean ingredients. Win-win what a treat. Always kind and patient at the counter. A fav local biz we'll be sorely missing. Top priority for our visits back home for sure.

Best cinnamon rolls in town! Indulge and get the extra cup of frosting, it's worth it :)

We were in Wildwood Crest NJ and went to Primo Hoagies. We saw Barry’s Buns right next door and thought we’d give them a try. OMG they are the best cinnamon buns I’ve ever had! Unfortunately we didn’t try them till late Monday. Wanted to go back Tuesday so we could take a bunch home. Sadly they are closed Tuesday ?. The caramel apple parfait was outstanding too! I will never look at another cinnamon bun the same way after experiencing Barry’s Buns ? ??

Good location, good customer service, and good prices. At first, I thought my impression was that they were pricey, but that was just based on what I wanted to pay. I don't know what other places charge. I will say that cost really doesn't matter once I tasted the treats! OMG! I've been back 3 times! You have to try the Jewish apple cake and the chocolate chip cookies! Makes you want to slap somebody!

sometimes you're just wrong (see review below). following owner's response, I went back and got a fresh bun (with raisins) and had it on the spot at 930 AM. Delicious. best bun ever? not sure. but very, very good... got 2 more to drop off with my brother, the bun lover. lesson? eat your buns when they're fresh... and respect to the owner for taking such pride in their product(changed to 5 stars, from initial 2)***I think this may be the most disappointing 'highly rated' eating experience I have ever had.. I gave a 2nd star because 1 star reviews feel personal or like there was an eyeball in your food. Not the case here.. If youve ever had a moist, delicious sticky bun (Mallons down the shore, the old flourtown bakery) you cannot possibly enjoy these very dry buns.. Got them for my brothers Super bowl party; hes a huge sticky bun fan. 6 plain. 6 walnut.. We ended up throwing them out they were so dry and flavorless(These were purchased on a saturday. Eaten sunday. I suppose this couldve had an effect. But ive eaten plenty a day-old buns. Properly closed up, they should still be good)

Truly fantastic- We got the chocolate butter cake, walnut cinnamon roll, one chocolate chip cookie and a biscoff cupcake. We didn't get to eat them until much later that night/ the next morning (not to mention they had been sitting in the car for a few hours) and each of them were just like they had just been made. Seriously expert baking for that accomplishment, and obviously made with love. I will be thinking about this bakery for the rest of my life, no joke!

Here's my preamble-I use Philly Food Works as my CSA for organic groceries. Barry's Buns is one of their vendors. I have never been to the bricks and mortar store.Over the past 4 or 5 Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons, I've ordered (through Philly Food Works) Barry's holiday cookie platter, the pumpkin eclairs, the pumpkin roll and the pumpkin pie. 2022 will be my last year of ordering anything from Barry's Buns. Since I rarely bake anything and would never tempt fate as a singleton by baking trays of cookies that I know I'd probably scarf before they were even cool enough to eat, I loved the idea of Barry's assorted cookie platter. While festively presented, this a plate of "one taste" cookies. Sure, there appear to be at least half a dozen varieties but they all taste exactly the same. Generically sweet, no buttery taste. I doubt Santa would think well of me if I werer to leave a plate of these out on Christmas Eve. The birds got the majority of this last platter. Better them than me.Every year but this one, I have ordered the pumpkin eclairs in lieu of a pumpkin pie. They're alright as far as eclairs go. The filling is pumpkiny and not overly sweet. The choux pastry is done reasonably well and it does not get soggy. They are thoroughly underwhelming, though. This year, I deviated from the forgettable eclairs and boring cookies. Instead I ordered Barry's pumpkin roll (like a jelly roll) and Barry's pumpkin pie. A friend was in from the West coast and I'd invited him over for a pre-Thanksgiving afternoon tea. Fortunately I sampled the pumpkin roll a few hours before my guest arrived. It was as dry and stiff as a mummy. I don't know if it had been made days before, frozen and then defrosted or if it was from a bad batch but it was inedible. The birds got that one, too as I scrambled around Center City for some tempting replacement tea tray treats. I saved the pumpkin pie for my own solitary, non traditional (crab cakes and a citrussy salad) Thanksgiving meal and even made spiked whipped cream as a topping. When my dishes were done, my kitchen was clean after my festive meal (who needs turkey anyway?!) and I returned from a post prandial walk, my heart was set on a pot of loose tea and a large slice of pie adorned with that home made whipped cream. Upon unboxing, the crust of the pie appeared to be raw. It was pale, flaccid, sticky and had no toothsomeness. At first I thought I'd pop it in the oven to get some color and texture on the crust. Upon further consideration, given that the filling was custard and had already been cooked/baked, it seemed best to give up on the pie altogether. I toasted and buttered an English muffin to accompany my tea, sliced up a Honeycrisp apple, shelled a few walnuts and pecans and was pleased with my impromptu, thrown together dessert. While I try hard to support small farms, mom and pop vendors and indie businesses, I also subscribe to the "fool me once, shame on you..." philosophy. Barry's Buns has already fooled me too many times. This year was the final straw.
