We couldn’t believe this place was empty. It has such a wonderful ambiance and the food was incredible. Not to mention the staff was extremely friendly and attentive. We will definitely come back! Highly recommend!

Cozy, intimate Italian restaurant. Families welcome, casual but delicious. Perfect neighborhood spot. Everything we ate was great- linguini with clams, chicken Parm, polpettes (meatballs), and capellini with spinach and tomatoes.

We haven't been in this small corner space in over 25 years (maybe more) when it was Russell's an american bistro. We like BYOBs and love italian so we put this on our list and went before a dance performance at the Kimmel Center 3 blocks away. The menu has most all entrees in the high 20s and the portions were large. I thought the seafood - shrimp, calimary and clams over cappellini in a light red sauce was a bit underseasoned (no taste of garlic) but I was happy. If there was one thing that disappointed me it was the bread, which was not the standard crispy Italian bread but a semolina bread. But I assume this is their standard Service was friendly an it's good for neighborhood

First time here...The meatballs and mussels were delicious- the chicken Genovese and gnocchi with vodka sauce were also very good!! Panna cotta for dessert was the best!!! We will be back!!!

One of the best Italian neighborhood places. Had their home made bread and dip, penne in pink sauce followed by one of the best tiramisu’s. Highly highly recommend.Vegetarian options: They make any pasta with vegetables and any sauce you want.

We had a great dinner at La Baia in Philly. The muscles and calamari were great as well the fish and lasagna. It's a cozy place (about 40 seats) with great atmosphere not far from Rittenhouse Square.

I was recommended by a friend who says this is their go to spot when they are in town. My first time going to the restaurant was during restaurant week and my second time going was for Valentines day. The food was amazing each time! I will definitely be a long time customer.

Went for restaurant week and the food was hot and delicious. The service was excellent. The restaurant is a bit tight to fit in a large number of people to seat, however we did go on a Saturday. We will definitely be back. Great experience for my and my best friend.

Mannnnnn…. The place was amazing. As you know it is restaurant week so we had to get a bang for our buck and when I say the food was amazing, it was AMAZING! First off the service is awesome. Everyone was so patient and helpful. Then the food, WOW. We got the ceaser salad for the appetizer and then we got the lamb chops and pasta with the vodka sauce noodles with Italian sausages man listen. For our dessert, we got the ice cream in dipped chocolate everything was delicious. Definitely a must go. We will definitely be back!

Dined there for restaurant week and the prix fixe menu. It was 630 on a Tuesday so things were still quiet and we benefited from that but the food, service, and portions were very satisfying. I highly recommend this BYOB based on this meal. We will be back.

We went for restaurant week. The food and service were great! Our server was knowledgeable and helpful but not overly attentive to the point we couldn't relax and enjoy our meals. All three courses were excellent and I loved that we could BYOB our preferred wine.

Bistro La Baia- food is mediocre at best. Several items such as arancini and meatballs are commercially prepared and then apparently microwaved and dried out/tasteless. Red gravy (sauce) did not look nor taste homemade but suspect commercially prepared. Service very pleasant and accomodating to vegan preferences. Crowded during lunch for restaurant week--wonder why if food not that great.

Another location for restaurant week. A very nice and intimate location. The staff is kind and checks in with anything you need. The Polpette was delicious, they have an amazing red sauce to go along with it, I think a tad bit more salty would really enhance the flavors in it, however I would definitely order it again as is. The grilled salmon was cooked excellent, it wasn't dry and it held its juices, the potatoes and vegetables were well cooked as well and complimented the meal nicely. For dessert I got the affogatto and this was my first time. I must say they were setting the bar pretty high as I'm not insanely crazy about espresso. My only issue was the small bit of ice cream I received, other than that, it was such a reboost and refresh for a dessert.
