The presentation of the dishes is always beautiful. It's clear that the chefs take pride in their work.

Walking in here and you're immediately greeted with a wonderful dark and cozy ambiance reminiscent of the early half of the 20th century. Decor and music all match the theme, and the mural of dogs overlook all diners. The wine and spirit menu is very extensive, and the cocktails are premium. The sidecar was actually 10/10 blended and tasted exactly as it should. The biscuits served to start come with delicious honey butter and are quite tasty, warm, and flaky. Steak was cooked beautifully and was a high end chop. The blue cheese melted on top added great savory flavor to complement the steak. The sides were great as well. Nicely cooked sprouts and very buttery, creamy mashed potatoes. Do recommend the baked Alaska though it is very sugary! Quite an uncommon dessert and they do it well. Nice end to the meal. Overall a very tasty and memorable dinner. Thanks

The best. My favorite in the city. I loved everything about this place. It is very high-end, comfortable, and cozy. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Thank you so much for doing an excellent job.

We had a fabulous evening here. Our waiter Ricky was outstanding and very funny. The food was stunning. Steaks were on point. Great martini. Wonderful baked Alaska. But the secret star was… the bread! They should patent the stuff.

Butcher and Singer in Philadelphia is an absolute gem! From the moment you step in, the ambiance takes you back in time. The Pumpkin Cheesecake is a masterpiece—creamy, rich, with just the right amount of pumpkin spice. Each bite is a delight. Impeccable service adds to the overall experience. Highly recommend....

Bar is a bit small but functional. Service is excellent and the food is awesome. Decided to have the pork chop, as I've eaten steak for three nights now. The pork chop was simply grilled and very delicious. Nice wedge salad for starters and a dirty Tito's to finish it all off.

As far as elegant restaurants go, this place has to be among the finest in Philly. The interior is very classy. I'm a huge fan of dim lighting and circular booths. The staff is top notch and on top of everything. The food in general is very good. Overall, this is an excellent choice for a special occasion. One thing that I did notice was that our server was slightly less engaged than others nearby. At the table behind ours, the server detailed the specials a bit better and provided more recommendations throughout the dinner. Our server was good, but the difference was noticeable. Escargot - I'm a big fan of escargot and these were great. Sizzling in butter and garlic, these went nicely onto the toasted bread. Very savory. I only wish there were more. Aged Strip Steak (Special) - The steak was good. However, at its price, I was a little let down. I probably would have been happier with the filet mignon. The aged strip was perfect in some areas, but a bit too charred in other areas. I like a nice crisp on my steak, but the charred flavoring really overpowered at times and distracted from an otherwise nice steak. I did not order a sauce to accompany given it was the chef's special, but I probably would have preferred it in this instance. Overall, the seasoning was spot on and the meat was incredibly tender. Stuffed Hash Brown - This was delicious. The exterior was crisp and well fried , while the interior was featured a light cheese sauce interwoven between the hash brown shreds. Nicely done -- very much recommend. Broccolini - Nicely seasoned and topped with garlic chips, the broccolini is a solid side. This was a good dish -- not much more to say. Chocolate Fudge Cake - It's as good as you can get. Absolutely delicious and large! I couldn't finish it all myself by the end of the night. If you like chocolate, I fully recommend this one. Biscuits - When your waiter comes back around asking if you would like more biscuits, DON'T be modest. These are literally the best biscuits I have ever had. I could eat them all day long. With the sweet cream butter, they are addictive. Perfectly flaky, easily pulled apart, fluffy, and buttery -- truly well done on these. We went there for my birthday and the experience, atmosphere, and food were all top notch! Our server Jeremy was amazing and gave the best food recommendations and wine selections as well! We split the 16oz bone in filet mignon which was amazing and had the mashed potatoes, mushrooms and onions, with broccolini. Everything was super tasty and the best steak i have had! Thank you for such a memorable experience we will never forget!

What a time. Reservation was easy to make (we had a part of 8). We celebrated our parents 50th wedding anniversary. The restaurant is 50s themed, dim lighting and old fashioned. The service is top tier. They bring biscuits w/ honey butter to the table and they were delicious (we asked for another basket full). I had the salmon Brussels sprouts and baked potato. All the sides are shareable. The potato comes with toppings on the sides. The food is amazing. It is flavorful, made to perfection and seasoned well. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Although pricey this is a must try.

We came here for a dinner with my company and got a little bit of everything. Service was on top of it, though we did have to wait at the bar for quite a while. Apps - tuna tartar was fresh, beef tartar was well spiced, crab cakes were too salty. The anchovies on the Caesar salad was too salty too. Pretty much the theme of the night. Entrees - obviously got steak here. Very well cooked, highly recommend. Sides - baked potato was dry, mushrooms were salty. Creamed spinach, Asparagus, Brussels, and Mac and cheese were the highlights. Wine is obviously extensive and flowing. Would recommend to come on the company dime, but I don't think I'll come back on my own accord.
