The food was very very good, I recommend the jalapeno cornbread and the bacon honey biscuits. My wife's ny strip with black truffle bernaise sauce was incredible. My Nashville hot chicken hen was recommend by our server and she was 100% right. The beer n cocktails menu was awesome and the local brewed beers were awesome. I recommend the double chocolate porter. The staff was super friendly and accommodating since we had two little kids with us, 10yr old n a 3yr old. They made smaller children's portions of the Royale with cheese burger for my oldest son and a small kids portion of spaghetti n meatballs. The chef was so nice that he insisted on sending a dessert of chocolate chip cookie skillet with ice cream out to us for my son's. It was greatly appreciated I will absolutely make the butcher bar our spot to eat on every trip back to Philadelphia. Next time we go we want to try the Through which is there sampler of all things meat.... we seen it and it looked incredible. Thank you to everyone at this establishment who made the visit there a great one.

Tried to go to this location for lunch. When we walked in, the host looked at us and said, You can sit at the bar, but I can't promise you'll get food. We're too busy. We turned around and walked right out. Very rude.

Music and service were wonderful.Spacing is a lil tight, I sat in the upper patio / balcony area, appears convertible w large windows.The food. Amazing. As the name suggests definitely geared toward carnivores who enjoy grilled & smoked meat. Had the lamb and it was possibly one of the best in my life.If you can, make a reservation.

We absolutely love this place! We decided to stay at the bar this time and it was just a perfect date night. We don't get out a lot, and we come to Butcher Bar because we know exactly what to expect. Tonight was no different, this is our special spot : )

The food was excellent and the cocktails were alos innovative and very good. My wife and I had the filet mignon and it was awesome. They also had a special burrata appetizer that we shared which was also wonderful. Seating can be tricky as it is such a small place.

Tried to come here on two separate occasions, both by myself. The first time I was left to stand at the 'please wait to be seated' sign for very long without being greeted by anyone, so I went to another place. The second time there was a uninterested host, and I was seated quickly. I had to move to the bar so I could take part in their happy hour, and even sitting right in front of the bartender I was not acknowledged, except for a throw down of the cocktail menu. I walked out after no one came to help me. I would have loved to try this place, the menu and happy hour seem very good. Too bad the service was not great. Doesn't seem friendly for people dining solo.
