Deserts and drinks were lovely until we looked around before leaving and we didn’t see where to put our dishes and left happy. And then someone came out screaming and other bystanders were confused and told us that they thought the employee screamed that we left a buss pin or pass in the bakery. In fact, he screamed “we have a buss bin” like a fish wife down the street. After spending $40+ with tip it definitely left a bitter taste in our mouthes. Not only did they lose 2 customers they also lost 4 bystanders on the street. They know how to treat you on social media but in person the experience gives abusive boyfriend. Based on other reviews I have read, they have an issue with Poc and extremely rudeness and rushing. Apparently this happens more often. Please make sure you find better employees because it makes the already overpriced goods not worth the hype.

My partner got a cake from Cake Life Bake Shop for my birthday and it was AMAZING!! We got the smores cake, and it did not disappoint. The icing was perfectly creamy and sweet, that left you wanting more rather than being sickening sweet. The cake was moist and chocolatey. I will definitely be coming back here for future birthdays!!

Absolutely positively the hands-down worst brownie and and cupcakes I've ever had in my entire life. You would never know it walking by or even walking in, but this has got to be the hardest driest nastiest garbage I've ever eaten.

overpriced not the greatest taste at all. Paid $10.21 a slice and expected a religious experience. Went to shopRite and bought a cake for $10.99 and it was delicious.

Some of the best baked goods in Philly. I have not had a single item from Cakelife that was less than superb.

I’m not sure how I’ve just discovered this place but I’m so happy I did! The cupcakes are delicious (Chocolate sour cherry and pistachio rose are my favorite). The ham and gruyère croissant is literal perfection. Flaky, buttery, cheesy heaven. I fear I’ll need to start getting back to the gym!!

Everyone here is so lovely. So are the treats. I brought my dad some cupcakes from here while he was in the hospital and requested more the next day. The person working there the other day even gave me a free pop tart after I paid because I missed them at first. Tall dude with glasses, I didn’t catch his name. Honestly I have never had a bad experience here and I recommend it to everyone.

On my last visit, on a Sunday afternoon, I encountered an extremely rude staff member. This individual, a white male with glasses, exhibited behavior that was not only unprofessional but also discriminatory towards people of color. Without provocation, he treated us with disdain and made us feel unwelcome, solely based on our appearance. It’s disheartening to witness this level of disrespect, and it raises serious concerns about the establishment’s commitment to diversity and inclusion. Everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and respect, regardless of their background or appearance.I hope this review serves as a wake-up call for Cake Life to address and rectify this issue promptly. I’ve seen numerous other reviewers complain about the same issue, but it seems like the manager does not care. Staff training on customer service and cultural sensitivity is imperative to ensure that all patrons feel valued and respected. Until then, I regret to say that I cannot recommend this establishment to others.
