Just went to the Grill. Food was good. Clam chowder very rich as it should be. Asian salad a little heavy on the dressing but good. The Clothes Pin cocktail was ok but not exceptional; the st germain liquor was less evident than I'd hoped for. Coffee was good.Warning. While there is a ramp up to the door, the actual dining room is down a significant wide spiral stairs. There are railings so it us managable by someone with some mobility.Wheelchair accessibility: While there is a ramp up to the door, the actual dining room is down a significant wide spiral stairs. Great ambience, love the location. Menu basic but well done, cocktails well done light in volume/size. Would return to enjoy the outside, "village" ambiance in warmer months.
Newsworthy Everyday
Excellent service included seating, waitress order, and check out. Would definitely enjoy another wonderful evening of delicious food, atmosphere, and service by the both M'aitre ds greeted us amicably, met our table requests; Heidi, our waitress although busy provided quick and prompt service during an extremely busy period, and the Latina busser also promptly cleaned tables and provided assistance when requested. The calamari and New Orleans Catfish were delicious appetizers, as were the Spicy Asian Salad with Salmon and Shrimp and Pasta. Although doggie bags were required, the Italian Lemon Cake along with glasses of Pinot Noir for the palate, touched off a pleasant evening at Chestnut Hill Grill located in the Chestnut Hill Hotel.Dietary restrictions: Restaurant accommodated allergies and made thoughtful suggestions.

My friend and I had an amazing time and lunch here for the first time. The fresh ingredients and amazing flavors was delicious. Just be aware that parking is difficult and limited with meters plus the traffic for the farmer's market in the back makes the area super busy especially on the weekends. The atmosphere is lively and surrounded by beautiful artworks.

Not a fan. The wings tasted like they were ordered fromPapa John's - nothing special about it. I had the shrimp orzo which was bland. My husband had the chicken burger which was a disaster, it was messy and fell apart. He claims there was no flavor and could have used cheese. Dessert was the absolute worst, we had the toll house cookie pie with ice cream. It seem microwaved and not even warmed enough. I wish I'd never gone there and will never go there again.

The hostess welcomed me with a smile and escorted me to a table along Germantown Ave. My partner and I enjoyed lunch on a beautiful sunny warm Thursday afternoon. I ordered the wings, he ordered the coconut shrimp, and we shared a side of fries. We each washed it down with a cold beer. The service was good. The food was good and we wouldn't mind returning to try another item on the menu that's served after 4pm.
Enjoy the restaurant but, the three stars are for them charging $1.50 for a cup of plain hot water! I guess they will be charging for ice cubes sòon! Be advised.

The Chestnut Grill has a friendy vibe with pleasant wait staff and great Happy Hour food and draft beer specials specials. However. my advice is to avoid the Happy Hour well drink specials at all costs.
