We love Flannel so much. Their fried chicken sandwich is to die for, but I've also never had something I didn't like off their menu! Service is always friendly, drinks are always delicious, vibe is always immaculate. I'm so glad the EPX community has this business.

My husband and I decided to stop in while we were in the area, however it wasn't the best experience.1. The fellow working, gave us a couple "heads-up" first informing us that he was working alone so there would be a wait. Secondly, he asked that we pay with cash as their machine charges a surcharge when customers use credit or debit cards. Nonetheless, we decided to stay.2. We ordered wings, and requested sauce on the side. They do not offer sauce on the side. Very strange, however keep this in mind if you're in the mood for wings.3. Cocktails took approx 25 min to come out, which were very watered-down. Over-sauced wings took 10 min. and the cook brought them right over to our table.4. Ordered espresso, and received a huge mug full of watered down American coffee. If you're expecting a proper espresso - don't get it from here.5. Went to pay the bill, using cash as requested and he kept my change. I asked for my change and a receipt. He hands me my receipt and tells me "I'm all set." Now I understand why he leads in with this, so beware. I looked at my receipt and he'd rung me in as if I'd given him exact change when paying, which I did not.Bottom Line, no plans on going back.

It's hard to think of a spot I love more than Flannel at the moment! While the space is cozy and somewhat small, I've never waited more than 10 minutes to be seated here. They also host cute events like paint & sips & have rotating musicians. Brunch & dinner options are fantastic and if I were going to invite friends or family who are newer to the city or craving southern food or barbecue, this would be the spot! We order the Fried Mac Daddy pretty much every single time. They have options for add ons but plain seems best for me so far! We did choose to get it with the pimento cheese once but it tasted pretty salty. If I bring guests who are interested in trying it I might recommend getting it on the side instead.

Cozy cute interior and lots of seating. Nice big windows with sunlight. Heard great things about the chicken n waffles so I came with a friend to try it. I did however opted for the chicken n waffle benny rather than the standard version . Chicken was good, seasoned and huge. A little dry. Great portions all around. Waffle was too soft and limp for me personally. I really wanted to love it because of the reviews and super friendly service and energy but I was disappointed. I'd be willing to come back and try something else but I can't vouch for the chicken n waffles.

This place is not supposed to be open, there is a black guy with braids he doesn't like other blacks,I went in there he treated me very poorly, he was very respectful, rude, and mean was discriminate against and I asked to speak to the manager he said he's the manager,if you hate yourself because you're black, you don't have to hate others because they're black,I love being black because black people are gifts from God, and the way he spoke I think he's gay you don't have to hate woman just because you're gay, and people like him can't work with customers, shame on you so called manager, you should be ashamed of yourself, hate will not win.

Came for breakfast and had a great experience. Ordered the flannel Benedict and waffle ranchero. The flannel Benedict cornbread is DELICIOUS. It really has nearly perfect flavor. The waffle ranchero was flavorful, filling and the perfect size. Definitely would come back to try dinner.

The Chicken and waffle was so good I had to hug the chef! The chicken was seasoned to perfection and the sweet sauce that was drizzled paired it nicely to the waffle and elevated the dish. Our server Justin did a great job helping us to navigate the menu! He was very attentive and all around delightful. I loved the music, and the overall aesthetic of the restaurant it definitely gave southern cookout. This place made my week. I can't wait to come back!

We had multiple issues during our brunch this past weekend. When only half of our party of seven was there at our reserved time, they made us stand and wait next to our table for 10 minutes until the last four people in our party arrived. When we finally got seated, at a table suited for four people max, our waiter came over, introduced himself, and then took 10 minutes to bring us water. Next, he returned with the water, introduced himself again, and then told us about the "rules" of the restaurant. We were only allowed to order drinks first, and we weren't allowed to order any food until every single drink was placed on the table. We ordered 6 espresso martinis and two whiskey drinks, and while ordering the drinks the waiter freaked out when we didn't order our drinks individually and sort of demanded one of us get two of the martinis so it would be "cheaper." After finally returning with our drinks after 25 minutes, he then took another 15 minutes taking our food order because he had to type everything in to the small handheld POS which seemed to make it difficult for servers across the board. While ordering, he denied a member of our party a side of whipped cream for her pancakes because there was no way to put it into the POS. After we ordered, we started to drink our "espresso martinis," which were presented in small, plastic wine glasses at room temperature. These drinks were obviously instant coffee with a shot of vodka. We were not given the option to sub whiskey for the vodka because that would have been too much for the server to type into the POS. When our food finally came, the backwaiter was basically yelling at us saying the plates were super hot and to make room for everything when there was already plenty of room, again at our 4 person table sitting 7. The food was very good, but definitely not worth the stressful environment they put you in. After eating, our server seemed to take over bartending and let us sit at our table unattended for upwards of an hour. The restaurant was not busy while we were there, so the added stress that was plaguing all of the employees seemed a bit absurd. Multiple of us worked in the service industry and could not wrap our heads around the situation at all. Overall, quite literally one of the worst brunch experiences I've had in this city and I would not recommend this place to anyone.

We had the most amazing Easter brunch at Flannel. Staff was great, quick and, best of all, hilarious. Food was outstanding with huge portions (note the photo) enough to carry over well into lunch the next day. Will be back many, many times!

We found this place just by walking pass and we’re so glad we did. We got seated right away and we ordered Memphis bbq chicken, hot honey chicken, fries, fried pickles and fried green tomatoes. The food came out hot and quick and everything was great. We will definitely be back to try other things.

I've been twice, and both times, I had an amazing experience. The food is fantastic, and the portion sizes are large. Decent beer selection, and super friendly staff. Both times I've gone there has also been live music that wasn't too loud.Gotta try the fried cauliflower.

My husband and toddler were hungry right after a doctor's appointment and we wanted to get something... comforting. Like a treat! We had our big stroller so we knew Flannel is spacious and easy for us to get it in. They're very accommodating for families, as I have mentioned in a previous review here. I am glad that their staff is still so wonderful (plus attentive)! When you order here, you should expect fried, slightly greasy, but comforting goodness... otherwise I would've air fried some things at home and call it a day. Or order a salad somewhere. Happy hour was happening, so we got wings, fried pickles, fried mac daddy bites, fried green tomatoes, and plain fries from that mighty little menu. I was craving a burger so I got a Flannel burger - did not disappoint! Very juicy and flavorful. Maybe more fries than I needed, but I couldn't deny them. All of the food came out very quickly and it all tasted great! Mac daddy bites weren't really a fav for my kid and I, we enjoyed the sliced mac more. Fried pickles and fried tomatoes were so satisfying. And those wings are a great deal (they weren't tiny little things for sure!). Will definitely return again soon since I do miss their cornbread, which is massive. Certainly cures pregnancy cravings!!!
