I have been coming to this place for about two years now and I am definitely not one to write reviews at all, but this place really deserves it. I am a senior in highschool and the chef john is the nicest and humblest man i know. He is kind to every customer and makes amazing food (I like the garlic rice bowl the best). Today, he saw that i wasn’t eating and came over to me directly with my favorite order. I didn’t mention that I was fasting for the month of ramadan. This just goes to show his character and i hope that he gets all the customers he deserves

This is one of my favorite restaurants, and I really wish they were open more often, but they're a very small establishment so not being open all the time is understandable. Every time I go, I get the boneless chicken rice bowl with sweet and spicy sauce, and I love it every time. I can really only speak to this specific dish, but the sauce is the perfect balance of sweet and spicy, the rice is super sticky, and the chicken itself is tender. The spot in the market is adorable, and the servers and cooks are always nice. If you're looking for some good Korean barbecue, I can't recommend this place enough

The food is excellent. John prepares his food with care and pride. Chicko Tako is a great option for healthy carnivore and vegetarian options. Veggies are always fresh and tasty. Treat yourself!

A great spot within the market. I had the bulgogi tacos and loved every bite. Great textural contrast between the marinated cucumbers, the kimchi and the tender beef. Assembled beautifully to boot. Friendly service on top of all of that. Strong recommendation.

Food arrived cold, I complained to the manager that the food we received was not hot and that the meat inside was cold. They offered to... put it in the microwave. I declined and insisted on a new meal be prepared. The first 2 people I spoke to did not speak English until the manager owner then told me that the food I received was the temperature it's supposed to be. It definitely wasn't. Chicko taco is run by people who think that beef tacos served at room temperature is their standard.I will not eat here again and if you do I strongly advise you to check your foods temperature first before you eat.

Ate there this past weekend. The Beef tacos were to die for. Both the sweet and spicy were fantastic. Also had the Mandu dumplings. SO GOOD!! This place is a must visit. The staff was great, and the place it's at was super cool. Great vibes!!
