I want to start by saying I reviewed up el Poquito is a solid 3.5 (if that was a thing) I reviewed up bc the service was great, the ambiance is chill, love the lights around as well as the fixtures. The food was ok, pretty standard nothing special. The guac appetizer could have been larger it was pretty small. We also ordered shrimp ceviche appetizer, it was good but could have had more shrimp. I had the mahi tacos which were really good imo I regret not ordering something son the side. I also had a margarita, it was delish, really well made! Overall I'd go back I really liked the atmosphere, parking on the other hand would steer me away but that's most of Philadelphia.

Bad experience with miserable bartender who hates her life. Fire her. Waited 20 minutes for a beer, and she was so incredibly rude for no reason at all. Asking her for anything was like I was personally offending her, any request was met with frustration from her. Will never come back.

I understand why they average 3 stars, but I think they are a little better than 3. Some people might not appreciate the authenticity. The space is cozy and the staff is great. The drink program is a plus. They have a tequila "mule" that is a clever twist. The best thing we had were actually the fried jalapeño. And the tres leche and churros were great for dessert. The entrees were all fine. Most in our group did tacos and my wife did a platter and they were all good, but honestly the portions were a little small. Usually Mexican places are generous with the portions and the plates were a little boring. The simplicity of a fried mahi taco is nice but pickled onion on top isn't quite enough. Something on the side or something to complete the plate would have been appreciated. Overall really good flavors and I'll return happily, but a little more creativity on the plating and composition would put this place over the top!

I had mushroom enchiladas with rice and beans. Ooommmggggg it was sooooo good. There were white mushrooms and enoki mushrooms with vegan cheese. It was freakin amazzzziinngggg the entire entree. First time trying it and I’ll definitely haven’t again. I also had the house margarita ( i forget the flavor i had added to it).

My husband and I are from Washington D.C. and had an amazing time here, drinks were perfect, specially the expreso martini drinks, we had their Ribeye and a couple of sides and everything was so good! Our server Harry was pleasant and made sure we were taken care of (I ordered a couple of Cadillac margaritas and those were excellent) make sure you order the guacamole, queso and chips! Will definitely bring more friends over

I tried the mushroom enchiladas from here and they were ahhhhmmzzziiinnggg. The entire meal itself was great. There were white mushrooms and enoki mushrooms inside of the enchiladas. Id definitely come back for this meal. The house margaritas all flavors are good too.
Food is fine. Had two ants crawling in and around me and my food at the bar. Not worth a return visit in my opinion. Prices aren't worth the infestation of insects crawling around.
