This is an old ice cream shop that I think has been around for years (or just looks like a traditional ice cream parlour). In any case - the servers were working fast because there was quite a line but they were very friendly and the ice cream was great! We ate our ice cream while walking though just since the place wasn't that big and a lot of people were already inside. But it's near the river in a nice part of the city center, so good area for walking. We actually had dinner nearby at an Asian restaurant so it was conveniently located for dessert.

Cool local spot for unique ice cream creations and old fashioned soda fountain drinks. Also sell a limited selection of baked goods from their partners a few doors down at Shane Confectionary. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.

Really unique spot and a definite must to visit. The store is really charming and the staff explained the menu really well. They recommended the pistachio ice cream and it was so creamy and had lots of pieces of pistachios in it. You could tell it was homemade and high quality ingredients.A bit pricy for a small but the small was massive. They are making Ben Franklin proud

First day or our trip we passed by Franklin's and wanted to stop but the line was LONG and we didn't have the time. Over the course of a couple days through tours and locals, Franklins was the place to go for some amazing old fashioned ice cream and treats. We finally made it on our last day in town before heading to the airport and was not disappointed one bit, The charm and of the building and the friendly staff made this a fun visit. The wife had a pumpkin spice ice cream and I went with a Cherry Lime Rickey. Sorry no pics of treats, forgot to take photos.

An absolute must! The ice cream is really good (especially Banana highly recommended!) and it is served in a kind of box that reminds you of Chinese food. Attention ( in a positive way), the portions are very big - if you take a medium box with two flavors you don't need lunch or dinner afterwards. Store is still partly in original condition - beautiful.

It's ice cream season so don't be alarmed by my excessive ice cream reviews! I've wanted to try Franklin Ice Cream Bar for a minute. I was not disappointed! I'll try one of their ice cream bars next time, but this time I went for the soft serve bc Franklin Fountain doesn't do soft serve and that was my mood. Pictured is vanilla soft serve, caramel and waffle cone pieces. It was very very yummy!

I love the rice cream! I had the butter pecan and it was so rich and creamy. A lot of the newer ice cream places are going for Aardvark flavors but the Franklin delivers delicious tried and true.

Very nice. Great ice cream. You get an authentic old time feel when you visit. Try the caramelized banana, it’s the best.

I just left without any ice cream. I paid, waited in line, was told to wait outside, and they’d call me. It’s outside on a very noisy street. You can’t hear anything. When I realized that 4 different groups of people who came in after me had been served, I gave up and left. $10 with tip for an ice cream I never got.
