Finally tried this spot last week and I’m still up in the air about trying it again. The atmosphere is confusing. super uncomfortable seats, it’s kind of a sports bar but has other weird stuff hanging up that makes no sense. The food was pretty good and very filling, I have no complaints there. The service was some of the worst I’ve ever had. There were maybe 4 people staffed, but only one person actually doing work while everyone else stood around talking, and completely uninterested in being there. At one point We had to wait about 10 minutes to get silverware after our food came because there was no one around to flag down. This place also gives off cop bar vibes.

I've stopped by with friends at a couple of different times of the week, but the service at the bar is challenging. It's a big bar with few bartenders, most that seem uninterested in being there. Food is fairly good, and they've included a broad brunch menu, but prices are on the higher end coupled with a very different vibe from their original location. Reopen the basement, please! If they added an outdoor element and brought in some newer staffers, it could be a chill place for the summer.
I miss the old Malt House on Gaul. The new one is a slick space, but why in gods name are there no beers on tap?! Everything is canned/bottled and they had the gall (lol) to charge 11.50 for a can of Nugget Nectar gtfoh. Food is great, but I miss the charm (and the tap list) of the OG.
