Great little place in south Philly a few minutes from I-95. Parking is a little tough. There is a small lot nearby. The SMALL steak is HUGE. $20 for a steak, coleslaw, and a drink. Cash only. I was there mid-afternoon and there was a line. Food came out fast. There was a picture of Babe Heffron and Bill Guarnere (101st Airborne) over the counter. When I said something, the entire group became incredibly friendly and shared a few stories about them.

Echoing other reviewers... not huge flavor but very meaty and super hot. Could use more cheese/whiz and some extra grease (I know but why get cheesesteak that isn't greasy?) A few points off for cash only and lack of seating. But fair location if you're going up or down 95 and need a quick bite.

The food is always outstanding! There's always a line, but they seem to knock out that line very fast. The ambience is a very nice setting! Unfortunately there's no seating inside there so you have to get your sandwich waiting in line and then you can leave. Everything about the sandwiches is fabulous! Their prices are also very good! They never disappoint!

*Tourists* hometowner's like myself know "Pat's" and "Geno's* cheese steaks are TRASH!!!!!!! GOOEY LOOIES has the best Cheeese Steaks in Philly, hands down!!!!! The meat is high quality, juciey, real steak that's flavorful and packed on those soft and resh steak rolls....and plenty of American cheese is melted into it....GOOEY LOOIES is just like the name says: GOOEY! And that's a good thing. I didn't even have Mayo on mine because with the steak juice and the ketch up it was perfectly GOOEY. I will never buy a cheese steak or Italian hoagie from anywhere else because of how deliciously tasty theirs is!!!!! I didn't even have to request "PEPPERED HAM" for my Italian Hoagie which if not offered on it is a hanious mistake and says something about the establishment that you are visiting. The corner store hommieness was so appropriated ill be back often I predict. Got my mom a seafood salad hoagie, she loved it....my dad, I brought him a corned beef one and he's jumping for joy!

Asked someone local where the best Philadelphia cheese steaks were and this was what they recommended. Definitely looks like a place to visit. As far as the cheese steak I would have to say it was just ok. Could be I came in wearing a Dodgers sweater and everyone working there appears to be huge Philly fans. It's all over the place. So can't say for sure. I can say I've had better

Great little sandwich shop with parking. Finely chopped steak in a philly roll. Would have preferred more cheese but sandwich was good! Friendly employees and locals sitting outside. Great place to go on a nice day to eat outside.

Gooey Looies has always had great food! Their Corn beef Special is AMAZING! The customer service is great as well and it’s never a crazy wait time! I love their food! Oh also remember it’s Cash only!!!

Please don’t support this RACIST establishment me and 3 of my friends went here Saturday night around 6:30pm to order cheese steaks. While waiting for our food we were singing a song and one of the male worker joined into the song but changed the words to the song and called us Monkeys. I have never been so offended I have never experienced anything so humiliating and degrading in my life my family has supported this business for years. We wasn’t giving an apology the person acted as if they didn’t do anything wrong when the other staff was trying to get him to see there wrong his response was would it be better if I used the word giraffe instead. The other male was like you shouldn’t have used the word monkey if offensive he said how that not the words he said you know it’s not the words.We deserve an apology. As we will not be supporting this business as if any person of color shouldn’t we are Monkeys to them.

They even give you a small concert by singing the songs on the radio while preparing your food. I take the hour long drive from Delaware to Philadelphia as often as I can and I’m never disappointed.
