One of the best new restaurants in Philly, and it’s BYO! Delicious forward-thinking dishes & excellent service in a quaint Philly row home. Menu is a fixed price and changes often. Included in the price is an appetizer, entree, and dessert.I have been at least 5 times since moving to this neighborhood. I have yet to have any dish that was not excellent. The menu is always creative, the dishes colorful, and service friendly. Cannot recommend enough!

Don't know how we haven't been to this place sooner! Went for the first time over the weekend and had some of the best food we've had in awhile. All three courses were amazing, fresh, unique and flavorful. Nice switch up from the smash burger or fried chicken sandwich you find pretty much everywhere else. We also had the sweetest server who was very helpful with the menu. Can't go wrong with a BYOB! Highly recommend!!

Helm was absolutely a fantastic experience from start to finish. This place is extremely cozy, nestled into the neighborhood of olde Kensington. The wait staff were extremely knowledgeable and the chefs are LOCKED in. I couldn’t recommend this place enough, and my lady and I will absolutely be back even though we’re moving neighborhoods. Helm is the bomb . Com.

Fantastic hole in the wall spot that has a very creative menu which is seasonal. My waitress had lots of knowledge about the dishes, and was very attentive to my friend who had dietary restrictions. Great spot for a big sized group, family style and getting to try everything on the menu was very fun.

American cuisine, elevated is the best way to describe Helm. Each dish is simply descrobed on their chalkboard menu but the flavors are extraordinary. Low cost plus a BYOB, this place is a must try.The smoked carrots have never left the menu and I understand why. Imagine the best hot dog you ever had but it's a carrot. The banana bread with foie is probably one of the most unique bites in Philly and it was amazing.Highly recommend going in a group of 4 or 5 so you can share plates and try most if not all of the menu.

Overall would give a 3.5-4 star review. Food: flavorful and unique, changes. The entire menu is written out on a chalk board with no descriptions, would recommend them explaining each dish. We got the scallops and the mushroom ravioli with lamb for our entrees and was delicious! The desserts left a little something to be desired. It is a BYOB! 55$ for 3 courses. Service: excellent, very attentive and provided good explanations. Constantly checked in to see if we were enjoying the food. Overall I would come back and would recommend this as a cute first date spot, it's intimate and quiet. I would be curious to try the NY strip next time
