Have reservations today for 2 at 6pm. Maybe it’s april fool, because this place is definitely a joke.I had other omakase experiences from $70-$120 and all of them are way better than this place. For $155 price charges per person, I expected that they gonna use higher quality, high value ingredients instead of poached egg or braised pork. The food is nothing special, i can get it from any other regular sushi place. They didn’t put any attention to the pieces. This place is definitely overrated. Don’t waste your money!

Always good food and a good experience. It’s great value for money and the extensive menu gives you a lot to choose from.

Exceptional cuisine! Awesome environment (built by my friend Ben Workerman!) and friendly/ informative service. We love the circle front door and warm interior. We went with the sake pairing which we enjoyed and went will with our omakase. Loved crunching down on the soft shell crab little bite. A bit pricey, but worth it! Will definitely return. I rank it a 3 out of 3 drink review (coke, beer, sake).

Overpriced for the experience by a long shot. Nothing truly unique but 6x the price.

The server is just absolutely ridiculous in this place. We paid the food was $500 and the 20% tip was already added to the bill. The server did not say that when we pay the bill and asked is to choose tip again. We ended up paid almost 50% tip for a mediocre experience. We saw the bill and tried to contact the restaurant. And no response whatsoever. Phone call, email everything.

Excellent Omakase bringing us back to our trip to Tokyo! Authentic experience with great quality ingredients. The Omakase and Sake pairing are well worth the splurge for a special occasion.

They need to offer more options because right now only one course is available and it is 155$ per person. The big problem was my girlfriend was full before we got to the really good sushi at the end and she didn’t get to experience her favorite tuna roll which was disappointing for me. I should have checked the prices before hand, I was not expecting the total to come out to 420$ for 2 people. 20% tip is mandatory. The experience was good though. The food was fresh and the restaurant was clean and well maintained. My one other complaint was that they didn’t have an eel roll. Which is my personal favorite. A lot of the sushi at the beginning was similar, and the appetizers at the beginning felt extra. They need to have a sushi only option.

The food was good, this was my first Omakase dinner and mostly enjoyed the food. This dishes were mostly great. The toro in particular made my night, just spectacular fish served on perfect rice. The restaurant should stick to fish however, as unfortunately I have to say the wagyu beef was a little bit of a mess in terms of flavor and cooking technique.Service really left something to be desired. I felt like the service was either tired or disinterested, sort of like a tour guide who has given the same speech four times already today. They also weren't knowledgeable about the food when we asked them questions. For $155 per person, with mandatory 20% service fee added, it's really sort of unacceptable the quality of service we received. Kind of a bummer. The other big negative is the density. The tables are packed in too tight, you'll be part of your neighbors' conversation whether or not you want to. They really need to remove a table or two. It's genuinely a distraction from the meal.Between the service and tightness I think this is a one-and-done place for me.

First of all, I rarely write a review for a restaurant unless it’s pretty bad. This place was all fluff and no substance. It’s a complete fraud of an omakase experience and I’ve had many ranging from $50 to even $400/person. Menu consisted of multiple servings which often felt like “fillers” because they don’t want to give you what you pay for and want: good quality fish. Many of the pieces were flavorless and to me that's a big sign that it's not fresh or good quality.I get that sometimes you want to experiment and bring a bit of fusion into the mix, but the omakase experience shouldn’t be compromised for this. The quality of the fish was mediocre, subpar even. On top of that, the pieces were sliced super thin. Why are you skimping on the fish when it’s advertised and charged as a premium omakase experience? Maybe…maybe 2-3 of the pieces were good. The rest looks like something you’d get for $25 from a takeout place.Yes, the front door is big and fancy. The lighting and seating look nice and the presentation on some of the pieces are pretty, but all this I feel is to distract you from the fact that it's poor quality fish/sushi. This was by far the most disappointing omakase experience I’ve ever had.

What a great omakase restaurant which is very authentic, above and beyond my expectation. I was on a vacation. My sister recommended this Hiroki restaurant that did not disappoint. Everyone should come and check this place out while you are in Philly.

We loved our meal at Hiroki - it was a wonderful celebration meal (we went on NYE). It was absolutely sensational and not a meal I will forget anytime soon! The people who are saying in other reviews that it's not outstanding... it's just very unclear how you would get that impression. The fish tasted incredibly fresh to us. Every bite was so delicious! I highly recommend trying to get a spot at the sushi counter - it will still be fun in the dining room (just behind the sushi counter, it is a small place) but it is fun to watch the preparation and have the sushi chef pass you the dishes directly. I couldn't believe we were in Philly, you are really transported as soon as you walk in - an unforgettable evening! Just for reference, 20% gratuity is included in your bill. For two, with two glasses of sake, it was around $450.00 so $$$$ but a very special meal, and I think it was worth it for the experience.

Hiroki offers an omakase that is inspired by Chef Hiroki's hometown of Kyoto. The menu progression is as follows: Zensai, Meat, Sushi 1, Sushi 2, Miso Soup, and Dessert.Unfortunately, we felt that the price didn't reflect the quality, as the fish did not taste fresh.I can see why some may feel rushed with the service, but if you're a fast eater, you won't really have qualms with this.Note that gratuity is automatically included in the check.Parking can be difficult, but some street parking can be found.+underwhelming omakase+not-so-fresh fish+limited street parking
