They call themselves Italian, what a joke, just like all the other "Italian" restaurants. How to find out? Simple, ask for grappa.. A genuine Italian chef knows what to so with it, but this place, like most other "Italian" restaurants, no clue. I'm not blaming the servers, they were awesome and really tried, this is an owners issue; the guy is just too cheap to have grappa and a decent coffeemaker. Drip coffee at an Italian restaurant! You think you're at a freakin' Jersey diner, I'm not even kidding! And the food? The pizza was decent but the salad and the meatballs? Loaded with sugar; what?! Are we children?

Forgot my leftovers and called literally a few minutes later as I was turning back to get them and they said they had been tossed already. It was a full plate so like $30 wasted after not great service... super upset. There wasn't really any effort to remedy

Abby was our server for a Friday Happy Hour on the back deck, onlooking the iconic river. The Mushroom Zucchini Pizza & Caesar Salad were the best we’ve had in Philly! A very chill, family friendly atmosphere! Abby went out of her way to ensure our happiness. We look forward to making In Riva a post-work Friday night tradition!

Black female that stopped in after work for dinner Tuesday night and was segregated away from the other white guests at a table outside. I was not offered a river side view even though the outside was empty when I arrived. Not sure if it was intentional but I noticed other white guests being sat around each other. My first server was less than enthusiastic, but luckily ended up getting great service from Zach!I'm hoping it was all just a coincidence, as the food here is good. The atmosphere just doesn't seem warm here.

Went to In Riva with my mom to enjoy a late lunch and some drinks, and as always, In Riva did not disappoint! The espresso martinis were excellent, and they tweak it just to your liking. The food was delicious from start to finish, and the service added a cheery on the top of a wonderful lunch… My faves were the arugula salad and the branzino!

Don’t get the pasta. Don’t get the pasta. Oh, did I say, “don’t get the pasta”? It’s measly and meager fit for a sparrow. Otherwise the pizza is great.

Yummmmy ??? come here and enjoy the food, atmosphere (there's indoor and outdoor dining). The pizza is wood-fired and the best crust ?I had the margarita pizza with sausage and the roasted Branzino ?. Enjoy their outdoor patio on a wonderful spring evening with a glass of wine and their candied ribs???. The servers are all bubbly and friendly-- food served with a smile ? ❣️❣️ Bon Appetite ???

pasta was soupy and slimy and portioned to feed a child. Pizza sauce was soupy, the dough was incredibly flimsy and undercooked and overall had no flavor. The cheese on the pizza also tasted like provolone instead of mozzarella. Everything I ate was disgusting. You honestly do better buying a frozen pizza from the dollar store than eating here.
One of my favorite places to go in the city if you are lucky enough to get parking you are in for a treat. ( there is a huge paid lot across the street from the place under the overpass from the bridge but there is free street parking and a small lot attached to the restaurant. Everything I've had there has been amazing from the variety of pizzas to the bone in chicken parm the food is so good it makes me want to try something different every time im there. Brick oven pizza amazing vistas if you sit outside it's a vibe...
I would come here every day for the whipped ricotta with sourdough. It is amazing!I also recommend mommy’s meatballs and any of their pizzas. I love coming here when it’s nice out and sitting out on the patio. Great atmosphere!

The rigatoni was incredible!! The margarita crust was also incredibly delicious!! There was no undercarriage but super tasty!! The service just lacked. It wasn’t busy but our server seemed to be mia. I could see where the patio would be very nice in better weather!
