Ok so it was our first time going here and we just drove from Jersey where we reside and ate here.It took longer than expected to get our food but it was well worth it . Terell the owners 19yr old son showed up and showed of with great costumer service ,excellent food and yeah he put the presentation down on our platters. I gotta say it was really refreshing to hear and see a 19 yr old holding down a restaurant by himself while mom had the day of and he did her and us justice . We will definitely be back and it was worth the drive from Jersey. Keep up the great work Terell.

Initial thought. "It don't make no sense for this food to be that good". I ordered 2 platters they were both well proportionate. The fried shrimps, fried fish, Mac, cabbage and potato salad were all really good. The only con is the wait time but it's not worth taking away stars because she was upfront. Honestly so good, I will definitely be back like everything was good for real.

When I tell you… this food was so good! Service was amazing and I can definitely tell it was made to order. Jannah is the sweetest woman and we were only here for a few hours in Philly, went to about 4 other soul food places and just didn’t like the vibe or how the food looked but I’m so glad we ended up at Jannah’s. When we come back to Philly I will be sure to stop here again.My mom and I both had the fried wings and we got yams, cabbage, and mac n cheese (which I think was the best). She even gave us a sample of the whiting fish and a sample of the sweet chili sauce to taste with the wings. Don’t get me started on the cornbread. I will definitely tell everyone I know about her restaurant

I loved my food everything was so good. My mom is really picky and liked her food even the cornbread was good. Definitely worth a try. The owner I think she was I don’t know the lady who answered the phone was so nice and kind it was 4:20pm and they closed at 5pm on Saturday. Normally people answer the phone all hype and mad but nope she was nice and then I called back 3 mins later to order another platter for my mom and the same thing she was very nice. I got there a young gentleman greeted me and asked for 5 mins to finish. He was so nice as well and was finished in 5 mins. I’m big into customer service we always say we can’t support a black business because of the service well this is not the case just give it a try and you will see the food is very good. Ps. This was not a paid review lol I paid for my food with my own money and was not offered anything or even told to do a review. I will continue to come here when I want good soul food. Thank you guys.

Food wasn't bad at all despite the stringbeans being too salty, i wanted to give the Sister a play. I think the business needs to have a credit/debit card machine there, instead of charging the customers an extra dollar to cashapp ur payment. Especially if ur spending over 50 bucks like I did. Just saying.
