Finally checked this place out, after hearing so many great things. The cauliflower appetizer was really quite good... but I've never met a fried cauliflower I didn't enjoy! Be warned though... it was literally the only vegetarian option on the menu. Surprised me a lot in this day and age, and in this neighborhood, where there are so many veggie/vegan options at basically all the restaurants. The waiters were all lovely, but the new owner wasn't friendly with us. Not that he has to be, but it was pretty noticeable. With so many other small businesses in the area to support, I doubt we'll return to this one.

This is my favorite restaurant in Philadelphia. Not only is the food fantastic but the dining experience Tony gives is top notch. His passion for the menu each night shows you how much care they put into every meal.We get the "crack" and cheese every time we go and love when the grilled octopus is is on the menu. I've never been a dessert person but the chocolate cake with peanut butter mousse is a must have. We'll be back again and again and can't recommend this place enough!

My favorite restaurant in the city! All of the food is incredible and unique. The owner reads the menu to you and describes every dish in detail. Owner and chef are very friendly. Great neighborhood feel with world class food. Highly recommend the chicken liver mousse!

This place is an absolute gem. Small but in a very good way. The food was absolutely amazing. 80's music in the background. The Mac & Cheese is like nothing we've had before. The veal bolognese was a so rich and full of flavor. Brussel sprouts, the octopus... all amazing. We are definitely drAgging some of our Bucks County friends and family into the city for a taste of Jaxon. And thanks for the picture chef Paul!

It was the second time we were there and we will definitely be back. Shout out to Chef Paulie who was dazzling to watch in the open kitchen!!

Tiny corner spot, walked past it for several years with no reaction. Finally made it to dinner. Oh my golly! What a dinner. Had the Brussels sprouts and Mac and cheese for an app. Sooo good. It's not easy to make Brussels Sprouts well, they killed it. Crack and cheese hit the spot too. Finally when the Halibut came I couldn't even finish it I was just to full and satiated. This place is a hidden gem. Must go!
