I'm not sure if they're still open? I've had a few people tel me that Joes was either closed or going to be closed for good or moving.. I would have to drive by and see for myself, but that being said.. this was a great place to get a cheesesteak in the area. Prices were about average compared to everyone else, but what I loved about this place was the option for your sandwich.. You could get a regular size, which was the 10-12 dollar steak, or go with the small/ junior size for a few dollars less. Great if you have kids and know they can't eat an entire cheesesteak. It's not my top pick for a Philly cheesesteak, but it's damn good, and better than a lot of other places around that I've tried.

This is the real deal! Located in a neighborhood with street parking, and you'll likely need to drive. Everything is made fresh, so it's really good! Philly cheese steak with whiz and fried onions is no joke! The bread is very good. Regretfully I ordered a small; should have got the large. Very limited places to eat outside; indoor dining was not available when we visited. Ask for extra napkins. So worth it!

So sad to know this location will closed after Labor Day. This is the best yummy cheesesteaks I used to order in this area, the texture of the steak is good, everything just so prefect to put together. How I wish they will continue the business forever!

Next to Curley's in Bensalem, Joe's has the best cheesesteak in Philadelphia and down!

I'm leaving one star because my meal was horrible! My chocolate egg cream didn't have enough syrup, and when I brought it back, she FIXED my drink by added syrup to something that already left the store? Not only was it still not right, but now it was warm. Then the plain cheesesteak (just meat and cheese) had it had almost no cheese on it. So I wasted $17 on one of the worst lunches of my life. I strongly recommend not doing business with Joe's, because I never will again!

Visited for takeout on a Sunday evening. This cheesesteak is a classic. Our only regret is not dining in and being able to try the ice cream floats. But there is always next time!

We recently visited Philly for the first time and knew that one of the top things on our list was to try a geniune Philly cheesesteak. After doing lots of research, Joe's was determined the place to be. Joe's is located in a very hip part of Philly - lots of young people out (it was a Friday after 11). Lots of bars near it. When our Uber pulled up, there was a huge line by the door. Our hearts sunk until we realized that the line was for window service. We managed to get a four-top. Menu has lots of options. Our two teens sons opted for traditional cheesesteaks, while my husband went with a spicier mix. I tried the chicken cheese sammie. We also ordered Bay fries (wow) and had their milkshakes. We each bit into our sandwiches and heaven. So. Freaking. Good. Lives up to the reviews and hype. Our server was wonderful. Shakes were tasty. I'm not sure about the bad reviews for this place. Our food and service could not have been better. The next time we are in Philly, we are headed back to Joe's.

Visited for takeout on Sunday 4/10 and waited about 15 minutes for my food. Ordered the steak egg and cheese 10’’ (with American and fried onions), cheesesteak 6’’ (with wiz and fried onions) and an order of cheese fries. This has to be my favorite cheesesteak experience so far. The sandwiches are loaded with meat, the rolls are soft but firm, and you are satisfied when you are done. Spent $32 and also got a fountain drink. Highly recommend!

Solid cheesesteak!! Fries were bleh. Minor issue with ordering online. Between placing the order and the time we stood waiting outside, it was 1 hour. Watched every single customer that came after us take their order and leave, it was during the week in the morning. Maybe have better luck just calling it in or ordering when you get there! Wouldn't stop me from going again, just something to take note if you are traveling to get here!

If you are a native Philadelphian or an out-of-towner wanting to try an authentic Philly cheesesteak, THIS is the place you’ve been looking for. Joe’s is the best of the best. To me, there is no other steak joint. The only thing they could do better is to have longer hours on Fridays.

This was our first time there. The guy who helped us was super friendly. The cheesesteaks were on point and we would gladly go again for some more.
