Jones was my favorite restaurant and I'm sad to see it go. I keep searching it on Google just to see if it will open again and am always sadly disappointed.

Of all of the places that have been shuttered this one I miss the most. No where else does a tomato soup & grilled cheese like Jones and this is the season for it. I really hope to see this place come back and soon. ????

The Culinary Adventures of Tom Coghlan, FB I woke up this morning, hungry for brunch...I moped around 'till about 2:00, and because so, I didn't get to sit at the bar when I arrived at Jones... Jones, at 7th and Chestnut St., is the fourth Starr Restaurant in my series. I like to sit at the bar... It's homier. There's more interaction with diners and staff... I like that... I arrived solo and was seated at a small table for two alongside the bar. I asked my server, Erika, what specialty cocktail she liked. A Hurricane, Bacardi light rum, Myers dark rum, passion fruit, amaretto, orange juice, is what she recommended. It was fruity and refreshing! I then ordered BMW Pancakes, caramelized banana, maple syrup, toasted walnuts. I also got a side of bacon... While the pancakes were served with an abundance of Bananas and Walnuts, I asked for more syrup. I'm guessing the banana slices were fried slowly. They shrunk a bit, and became denser, much like the pancakes were... While they were delicious, they were a bit flat and not airy. They didn't absorb the syrup as much as I would have liked. The bacon was perfect! I had one more Hurricane, and I thanked Erika and said good bye. I liked Jones, and there were more interesting selections from the menu that I would like to try. I will return... I won't order the pancakes, but I will have a bite of yours to see if they are the same...

Very disappointed with this place. Read great reviews and saw good pictures.

This is a must try. It is near the liberty bell. Go for breakfast, lunch or dinner!! Get the chicken and waffles and you wont be disappointed. I asked for all dark meat but usually it comes with a breast, a thigh and a leg I believe. It's not expensive but looks high class.Try it out! We went 3 times in our 1 week stay.

This is one of my favorite brunch spots in the entire city. The big feature is there DIY bloody mary menu. You can select everything, from the liquor to the additives like bacon, vegetables, etc. They also offer bottomless mimosas. The interior is like a traditional diner but with a new age feel/decor. It feels high-end, but is still very affordable. They have a pretty big menu - nice variety. Different variations of eggs & french toast/pancakes. Would definitely recommend, but you should make sure to make reservations.

Good service, even right at closing. Food was surprisingly good! We were looking for a late dinner near the liberty mall and most places were closed. Jones welcomed us right at closing and served us an incredible dinner. The chicken and waffles were great, and the ALT was a sandwich to write home about.

Always Great Sunday Brunch vibes....We made reservations to ensure that which what was already limited seating, we had a seatFace temperature scans were taken the moment you entered. Servers had there COVID-19 gear on. We felt cool and "safe" to eat inside for be 90mins alotted.Customer service was great, food always yummy, hats off to the kitchen, mod designs with the built-in stone fireplace gives a funky throwback vibe. Only negative was the air was on, definitely made for a chilly brunch. Considering it was already a very very windy day. Matter fact, soo much so that outdoor seating has to end, patrons were moved inside due to the winds knocking table umbrellas down.Although I got green tea this me around, it's a must you try the Mimosas with the flavored purees. Sooo delish!!

I love this place for a date night. Mac and cheese brought back memories of my aunt's cooking and she is 96. Nice quiet late night place to go to. Service has always been great and friendly. Thanks to the staff for treating me with kindness

Excellent service. The burger was cooked perfectly. Chicken and waffles were scrumptious. Smaller menu but other than that, they are as good as ever.

Jones is a mid century styled upscale diner with all the classic dishes you would expect on the menu - eggs Benedict, steak and eggs, waffles etc for breakfast and fried chicken and waffles, meatloaf, Turkey etc for dinner. Think Bud and Marilyn's... just a bit less wel executed, and the menu a bit more uninspired. Just about everything we have tried had been tasty and consistent, though I have only been here for brunch. The service can be a touch spotty... I have had the host/ess have a bit of an unpleasant attitude but most of the others usually make up for it. I mentioned the style... with the fireplace and '60s clock, the color scheme and materials, you feel a bit like you are dining in the Brady Bunch living room. I like it, overall a solid place to have breakfast. There are better places but not a bad choice by any means.

The service was great. I was checked in immediately even though I was a bit late. The people who helped us out were amazing as well (shoutout to my best friend Nick and my new friend Haley). I felt safe as well with the COVID procedures they had. Would definitely come again :)

Had two reservations one for a table of 4 & one for a table of 2 on 11/15 . The hostess was excellent she took us and seated our table . Literally before we could sit down a guy in a suit (I'm going to assume was the manager) came over to question the hostess on what she was doing when clearly she was seating us but when he stopped her we were all kind of congregated and that isn't ideal during covid but he halted her in seating us then proceeded to be seated . He then came back over to our table to advised not to switch tables etc everyone has to stayed seated with a very very rude condescending tone and approach we said ok cause I mean no one would be moving nor gave you the inkling . Next we waited 20 mins before getting up and leaving for one of the hostess not the one that sat us but someone else to say thank you like we had a good service or something we never even were greeted by a server . 20 freaking minutes after the manager was at our table twice . Absolutely unacceptable . There was definitely some type of profiling going on . The manager and other hostess and servers congregated at the podium the whole 20 mins . We took our party of 6 to green eggs and had a phenomenal experience . Looked like Jones was going to be a good choice for my husbands birthday brunch but this experience alone will never have us come back . The crazy part is in over 10+ years I couldn't tell you the last time I literally had to walk out of a restaurant due to bad service in this manner . Thank you !

The deviled eggs were delicious, my husband had the chicken and waffles which he loved, I had the crispy flounder which was just ok. The Duncan Hines cake was very dry but our server was very nice.
