The service and the ambience are great! But the food is really bad, we had a to go for Vegetable Biryani and Gobi Manchurian. While, the Manchurian tasted fine, but it had added food colour to it. In the other hand the Biryani was really really bad. We had asked to make it spicy, though it was spicy. But, it wasn't tasty at all! It was an absolute waste of $25. Not sure if other items are good. But, I would suggest only order the regular Punjabi dishes.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options are limited, I wouldn't suggest this place to a vegetarian though, based on my experience.

Do not sleep on this spot. Easily some of the best Indian food I’ve ever had. Both vegetarian and meat options were great. Wish I lived in Philly so I could go more often. We ate inside and the owner and his daughter were both soooo nice. Also BYO and the rice pudding was delicious. Can’t wait to visit again.

Food is unreal- lamb chop tikka and Rogan Josh are the best we’ve ever had. We’ve been here every week since we found it. Best Indian restaurant in Philly bar none.

Food was excellent, and very tasty. The food was extremely flavorful and yet very tender and juicy. I order the kabob , chilly chicken with gravy , and the chicken biriyani. Everything came out delicious. Also the service was amazing. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and would be going back to try the Thali!

I cannot speak more highly of this place. To be brief, here are the things I love about this place:1. The food is EXCEPTIONAL. I have been waiting for a really good Indian restaurant to come into Philly. It's taken 12 years, but I found one. We got the vegetable samosa (with 2 veggie pakora thrown in complimentary), chana masala, navaratam korma, garlic naan, and onion naan. Not to be dramatic or anything, but I nearly started crying-- everything was so amazing- good flavor, good spice level. Plus we got complimentary rice pudding which also was incredible.2. The restaurant is family-owned. This makes a huge difference for us, as we would prefer to support local, family-owned businesses. Plus it really does add to the atmosphere when you get to develop a relationship with the owners.3. The service was fantastic. Jasmine served us and was so kind and welcoming, and she was genuinely happy to meet new neighbors. She only had good things to say about the South Philly brethren, too. Plus... complimentary food. That was a nice touch.Nothing bad to report. Seriously, if you like Indian food, you've gotta try this place.

This place has the best Indian food I’ve ever had. My girlfriend and I got chicken curry (spicy) and chicken tikka masala (medium) with sides of garlic and plain naan. Both dishes were incredibly flavorful and the chicken curry was not painfully spicy. Even better than the food was the service. Jasmine who was our waitress was super kind and asked if the spiciness was ok for us and was just super friendly overall. She gave us some delicious rice pudding on the house as well!! If you find yourself in south Philly looking for good Indian food, I cannot recommend this place enough. We will be back many, many times.
