It took far too long for our entrees to come out. We waited 40 minutes from the time they cleared the appetizers until the time the entrees came. But the food was quite good and the wine was great.

We were visiting Philadelphia for a conference and La Famiglia was a short distance from the hotel. We wanted Italian and hoped for the best. We got the best! The bruschetta was the best we have had. The sale was good but not excellent. The Spinach Ravioli was excellent. The whole branding, filleted at table side was magnificent. Our host and servers were warm, caring, attentive and a perfect complement to a great meal. We would return in a heartbeat.

Everything was excellent, the service was very professional, the food was spectacular and the best thing is the design of the restaurant. You enter at La Famiglia and it is like entering a museum.

The service was absolutely amazing! The vibes in there were great and the food was fantastic, can't wait to go back!

Yummy

We love this place! The service is always impeccable. Gracious hostess, server, wait staff. The wine selection is out of this world. The food is incredible - we enjoyed the shrimp and eggplant appetizers. Both were outstanding - the eggplant is the best I've ever had. We also enjoyed the mushroom pasta and a personal request for pappardelle pomodoro. This will be my go to from now on. I order it often as a special request and it was prepared to perfection. I can't wait to go back and order it again!!

We were warmly greeted and seated immediately. The dining area is lovely. We were offered water and drinks soon after sitting down. Our food was excellent as was the service. We will eat here again when in Philadelphia and highly recommend this Italian restaurant.

Nestled in the heart of Philadelphia lies a beacon of Italian gastronomy, La Famiglia Ristorante, a name that resonates with unmatched culinary mastery. For over three decades, I've been captivated by their dedication to culinary excellence, a journey that began with the visionary Carlo Sena Sr. in 1976. Alongside his four sons and daughter, he planted the seeds of an establishment that would become synonymous with authentic Italian cuisine, crafting dishes with techniques steeped in tradition. Walking into La Famiglia is like stepping into a warm embrace, where every meal is a celebration of familial bonds. The staff, with their genuine smiles and gracious hospitality, have a way of making every guest feel like an honored member of their extended family. My annual pilgrimages back to Philly are incomplete without a visit to this culinary temple, where my wife and I bask in the glow of good food and great company. Beneath the bustling streets of Philadelphia, La Famiglia houses a wine cellar that rivals the vaults of Tuscany, boasting an impressive collection within its historic catacombs. Here, amidst the serenity of aged bottles, private dining becomes an enchanted affair. The Branzino, a masterpiece filleted with precision and adorned with a heavenly white wine butter sauce, holds the crown as my favorite dish. And the desserts--oh, the desserts--are a sweet finale to the symphony of flavors. If only the miles that separate us were fewer, my table at La Famiglia would see the turn of many more glasses. In a city renowned for its culinary diversity, La Famiglia stands out as a cherished gem, offering not just a meal, but an experience woven with the threads of Italian heritage and the warmth of family.

Highly do not recommend a ceaser salad, which isn’t even on the menu, maybe for good reason. It is most certainly not ceaser and extremely vingery tasting. I had high expectations for this restaurant given the promising atmosphere, high price, and good reviews? The pasta entrees are extremely underwhelming in taste, I thought I had covid from lack of flavor. The servers were very accommodating but my dinner lasted a painful 3 hours which at no point I was wowed by the food. Overall would not recommend spending the absurd amount of money for mid food.Vegetarian options: There is close to no vegan options without modifying or asking for a custom dish—such as pasta.

This was our first tine here and it did not disappoint!! From the friendliness of the staff to the amazing food. Don't be steered away by the $$$ because it really was reasonable for what you get.

It was covey to be in a restaurant that still values great service and staff who understand the importance they play in making an evening in your restaurant enjoyable. The staff was well versed in menu items and there was a nice variety of liquor and wines available, A lovely experience.

By far the finest Italian restaurant in the city of Philadelphia, I've been going there for 45 years and it's always consistent and always excellent owner host. Giuseppe Sena is charming in the true sense of Mediterranean culture. Recommend this highly highly to anyone out of town or in town.
