Easy to get a reservation, good service and delicious food. We had a lovely night here. We enjoyed everything we ate except the brussel sprouts (not that they were bad, just underwhelming comparatively). Would definitely return.

This was a tough one to rate. The Lobster Bisque was good but nothing all that special. My Scallop entree was a mixture of corn, risotto, artichokes and capers which, for me, hid the taste of the scallops. The Lamb Loin special entree was generous, delicious and different from other lamb dishes we've had with cippolini onions and shredded cabbage. A new dessert to us was Affogato - a delicious mix of salted caramel gelato, whipped cream and a piece of Biscotti served with a small pitcher of coffee to pour around the dish. Very different and delicious. Busy place so you might need a reservation, at least on the weekend.

Every course was tasty and had the character of satisfying your appetite without feeling stuffed. The walnut and apple salad and blackened salmon were really great paring with a nice glass of wine and the gelato desert was fantastic. The space and crowd was as energetic as the service. I also learned a new vocabulary word, which was the meaning of "Libertine" and the inspiration for the restaurant's theme. Very funky. lots of fun. Not a quiet place, but still would recommend and I hope to go back.

I took my parents to Libertine after the Flower Show's opening day. We waited for our table to be ready for about 15 minutes, which did not bother us since there were seats at the bar and we were able to order drinks to start. The restaurant is pretty small but I think it's a good sign that we waited a little bit - it means the vibes are high and people aren't rushed! I had the Miley Cyrus sangria, my dad had the Ben Franklin, and my mom and husband had the pinot noir on tap. The sangria was good but a bit sweet. Each of us ordered something different for dinner. I had the salmon and shared the fingerling potatoes and simple green salad with my mom, who ordered the roasted carrots and cauliflower as her main dish. My dad ordered the French onion soup to start and roasted chicken for dinner, and my husband had the lobster bisque to start and the jumbo ricotta gnocchi as his main dish. For dessert we all shared the flourless chocolate cake. Everything tasted delicious and everyone seemed very satisfied with their meals. The bartender was super friendly, and our server, Josh, was very attentive and funny. Highly recommend Libertine!

What an unexpected gem! We happened upon this restaurant on Open Table because we were looking for a place to eat downtown. When we arrived, seeing that it was a restaurant inside the Fairfield Inn we were skeptical, but the food was amazing, the service outstanding, and the ambience was cozy and comfortable. Wonderful experience, and we will be back!

What Chef Derrick has done at Libertine is important as well as impressive. The restaurant is a beautiful & delicious addition to a collection of excellent local gems in the incredible Washington Square West neighborhood. We dine here almost every other week but last night was exceptional as we were a close group of 5 friends & family with big personalities and appetites. Josh took excellent care of us & was extremely attentive. The food was exceptional as always & the wine selection is perfect. My personal fav was the Linguini with blackened chicken. We rarely have desert here when dining because we're often full. But the oreo marscapone cheesecake was to die for. Full, happy and feeling lucky to be close by so that we can keep trying all the delicious food this restaurant has to offer.

Had a wonderful time last night to celebrate me and my partner's anniversary. Unfortunately, the gift card we had was not working and the chef or owner was kind enough to comp our meal. We are grateful for that! Thanks to our server as well. He was so kind and treated us well. The food was delicious (even though we accidentally left our leftovers) lol Thanks!

Libertine has a nice brunch menu and is convenient to the Kimmel Center. The food on this visit was okay but not great. Lobster bisque seemed very fishy, and a shrimp and asparagus omelet was damp (not sure if it was too much oil or the shrimp or asparagus was too watery). The "toast bar" is a nice idea, but on both visits most of the bread was just heels. A basic eggs and sausage platter was excellent, as were the home fries. Prices are very reasonable.

We had a wonderful experience. Good food. Nice drink selection. Friendly service. The space can feel a bit crammed, but the large windows on two sides helps avoid feeling claustrophobic. Very convenient to many theaters. Reservations definitely recommended on the weekend.
