Why call it a tavern if I walk in and you tell me its a coffee shop? Me and my friend walked in and was instantly made uncomfortable like we dont belong there. Everyone was smoking and had coronas so yes I figured it was a bar.. I guess they only want a certain demographic there which is fine ill just spend my money somewhere else. If your not in your 50's and not polish then you probably dont wanna go here.

I just moved into the neighborhood and I was looking for a place to buy beer and remembered I had walked past this place before and decided to stop by . As I was walking to the place I noticed a man sitting outside and asked him if the place sold beer and he was very pleasant with a smile on his face and told me yes they did sell beer so I walked in and noticed a few gentlemen at the bar so I approached and very politely smiled and asked the guy behind the bar if I could please beer to go and his response was "sorry we do not sell beer , this is a coffee shop" mind you there are people at the bar drinking and smoking. I was very dumbfounded as I immediately knew what it was , they did not serve beer to Black people and mind you this guy has a very heavy accent and he is being prejudice to me , so I politely said oh I can tell this is a coffee shop I'm sorry for mistaking it for anything else while you are restocking your fridge. I was really upset by this and could not believe someone that isn't even from this country with a very very heavy accent would do this. Thank you so much for showing how progressive this country is because of people like you !!!! I carried myself very well like a lady where most people would have cursed them out. Needless to say I will be making it a point not to be stopping by here ever again and will be discouraging others to do the same and take your business elsewhere aka Bait and switch. Thank you so much for your hospitality Maria's your "coffee shop" is a dump and hope your business is working out well for you with the four customers you had .
