I've encountered many venue policies in my career, but Milkboy in Philadelphia takes the cake for the most absurd. Expecting the crew—everyone from the photographer and merch seller to the guitar techs—to pay for entry is unheard of. It's a clear sign that this venue is more interested in nickel-and-diming every participant rather than fostering a supportive environment for artists and their teams. Across my years in this industry, working venues nationwide, I've never bumped into such a policy where crew and media need to buy tickets just to do their jobs. It's a disappointing first for me, and frankly, it reeks of greed. Sure, Milkboy has decent sound and lighting, and yes, the crowds are often sizable. But what's the point if your entire team is out of pocket before you even start? It undermines the very essence of what it means to work together in the music scene. So, if you're considering Milkboy for your next gig, be ready to hand over more cash than anticipated. My advice? Look elsewhere unless you're okay with a venue that prioritizes profit over people. As for me, I'm done with Milkboy. There are plenty of venues out there that respect and understand the value of the crew and artists alike. Consider yourselves warned.

Went to see Lamont Landers and The Players Club. Max Swan was the opening act... Great show, VERY intimate venue. (that means small)$15 per ticketDid not order from the menu. $17 burgers without fries. For fries, add another $6Other than that, it was good times and great oldies ?

Went and saw Lamont Landers, the GM Annie was amazing and just outstanding at her job. She runs a great place. Delicious food, great vibe. If you can't see the show, stay downstairs and eat. Definitely going back.Parking: It blow a, do some recon online first and have a plan.

I truly enjoyed myself this past Saturday(2/24), it all started with a welcoming vibe and good energy from the bar staff . We went upstairs, for the show and was greeted by a guy..... I think his name maybe Chad or Chauncey the security, Very professional made us feel welcome and checked on Us and other guests from time to time. Entertainment, food, and drinks was on point. It was my first visit, but definitely will not be my last.

Absolute gem. Anywhere that'll serve a solid meal after midnight, with quality drinks and service deserves your business. Exceeded all expectations after a long cross country flight.

Food was decent, nothing to write home about. Service was friendly but not over the top. Atmosphere was very fun. They play fun indie and punk music mainly, and it draws a crowd that is into that kind of music. There's a live music venue upstairs that is sweaty good fun. Lots of local acts and some smaller scale touring acts. One of the precious few independent music venues left in the city. I have no problem supporting them and buying a beer or quick dinner when I can!

The location is great, the facilities are nice and clean, and the staff is really good. The food is good but not fantastic, and the beer selection is usually good and changes frequently, but I wish they had more taps. If you're looking for cocktails or wine, I'd look elsewhere. Expect a burger and a couple of drinks to run around $40 including tax and tip.

Went for breakfast to catch up with an old friend and it was lovely. A decent pub food experience, I got the breakfast quesadilla. The espresso was surprisingly good for a bar and the fries were perfectly crispy.

rapid, friendly service and top notch bar food. excellent, if modest, beer selection, hospital-themed cocktails (Jefferson is right across the street). unique wrap-around floor to ceiling windows afford unobstructed view of the street and passers-by. don't miss out on the live music on the 2nd floor!

It was the server with the piercing above her lipShe had no rights to add her own tip on my card when I signed the receipt and put a 5 dollar tip.Updating my review. They overcharge when closing out the tab which is very unnecessary.

Started with a nice friendly greeting. Atmosphere is a bit loud from loud music and everyone trying to talk over the noise.Started with water, but found hair in mine. So asked for the glass to be changed, and the server was quick to notice and reacted immediately. The food was great, but the price point felt a bit high. Should not be an issue for tourists.
