This unassuming place has some of the best South East Asian food in Philly. Everything was delicious especially the Lemongrass Chicken. The service was also great

The fried dough was delicious, but unfortunately, the spring roll was overcooked, making it tough and challenging to bite into.

Love the food I really wish that I could get it through door dash because I’m all the way in the other side of the city.

Ordered the beef stewed with noodle soup and the beef and beef ball noodle soup and it was amazing. We got the egg soda and it was also delicious! I should’ve ordered the regular size instead of a large because the portion size was huge. Will definitely come back

This khmer girl loves good comfort khmer food. This place wins my heart when I'm in town visiting. Definitely your hole in the wall place in the area. Definitely come again when visiting Philly!

About time I post an update, eh? I've been coming here for more than 12 years, and they're still an amazing mainstay for me. Their kuy teav Phnom Penh - Cambodian noodle soup - is the first thing you should try. They also have a menu with other things. I've had their sour soup most recently. Friendly service. Still cash only. Get a num pao (bun) to go!

Their Phnom Penh noodles (dry style) is the best that you can find in South Philly. Make sure you order a fried dough that would pair well with the noodles soup. Definitely will visit again.

Hole-in-the-wall small restaurant in a neighborhood with a few other little Cambodian restaurants / markets. Street parking here was not terrible, despite being a generally residential area with all tiny one-way streets. We walked in and were hardly even greeted for a good few minutes while the server zipped around helping the other seated customers. Once she acknowledged us it was another while before she was able to seat us - despite there being an unoccupied table that she had to clean up. Again, long delay for her to even just bring us water once our order was taken. Short staffing, clearly. We came here specifically for "hu tieu nam vang" which translates to "Phnom Penh rice noodle". It's a common dish in southern Vietnam and originates in Cambodia. In the US, Vietnamese restaurants are more widespread than Cambodian, which is where we find most hu tieu here - however IMO the Cambodian-American restaurants like New Phnom Penh do it better. *Hu Tieu: We ordered one "thap cam" (assorted) in dry form (we had to ask for this from off-menu but it was easy for them to do) and one with seafood & broth (standard item on the menu). The dry noodle is not stir-fried, it comes across like a noodle salad with a wonderful savory fragrant sauce mixed in, and broth on the side with a chunk of meat. The soup noodle had a very authentic tasting broth with a hint of dried squid flavor. I really wish the seafood noodle had squid which is a common hu tieu topping in Vietnam - perhaps it's an excessive expense for them? The food here is really good. It's not the best Cambodian hu tieu I've had in the US (I'm going to have to give the edge to other restaurants in the Cambodia towns in Long Beach CA & Lowell MA) but it blows most Vietnamese restaurants in the US out of the water for hu tieu. The service and extremely divey setting are also a turn-off compared to what other places in the US offer. But if I am having a real hu tieu craving I would definitely come back to this place.

Delicious, taste like home. The food is highly authentic and comforting. The atmosphere is also pretty cozy.
