Fantastically cool place worth the effort to find. This is about as 'old school' as it gets. Sliced roast beef sandwiches to die for. Fantastic fries. The service was perfect. 10/10 would highly recommend.

Step into the past this far has been around forever women used to enter from the back the roast beef phenomenal don't forget to get the gravy fries the bartenders are great it's just a great feeling inside here been coming here most of my life

I can't say enough good things about the food here! It was definitely on point and hit the spot! I'm used to a Roast beef on weck being from Buffalo and this just tasted better on a softer roll with gravy. Service and ambience made it feel like being back home. Thank you!

My friend lives in the neighborhood and raved to me about this place. Since I was helping her move, I decided to treat us to lunch on 02/27 around 12:30pm We each got one drink, a vodka, sprite, and a beer and we each got a sandwich and we shared gravy fries. The sandwich was absolutely terrible, the meat was very tough and I love roast beef. I literally took two bites and I would’ve thought the server would have asked so at least they could refund me since I didn’t enjoy my meal, but she seemed super busy and I didn’t want to make a fuss.My friend who is a longtime customer agreed there was an issue that day and we agreed it must’ve been the way the food was prepared. I don’t know if I’ll give them another opportunity because my bill was $50 without tip.
This place is a classic gem. You need to try this place. Not only is the beed/pork/turkey excellent, the service is amazing! So friendly, so attentive and just down right happy to have you. Full bar as well.

This roast beef sandwich lives rent free in my head. I find myself thinking about it from time to time. I can’t think of too many other food items that are as simple and delicious it. Get it wet and get plenty of napkins because this IS a VERY messy sandwich.
Been eating at this place for 40 years. Foods always been great but lately the service has been awful.
