Came for dim sum because they have the carts going around which is always fun. I will say though that they don't have everything out on the floor all at once so if you're wanting something specific or think you can only pick from what is out, don't settle! We made the mistake of filling up on a couple things we were mid and then the stuff we really liked came out when we were approaching fullness. You can also ask if they have something if you don't see it. They were really good about bringing me the stuff I asked for but didn't see. The food is all quite good. Upon entering they immediately ask what type of tea you want and trust me, you want tea to wash the oil down. The tea is also delicious. It's kind of hard to know how much everything is because you just point at what you want and they notate it on a check with no prices on it. However, we were pleasantly surprised at the end. We got 5 dishes they marked as Large and it came out to about ~$36. Food: Shrimp rice rolls: quite good 8/10 Shrimp ball: generous amount of meat 9/10 Shrimp dumplings: 8/10 Fish dumplings: taste like the fish balls found in soup 8/10 Pork bun: fluffy, good meat to bread ratio but still a lot of bread so it filled us up a lot 7.5/10 Egg tart: a little too much crust in comparison to custard but the custard was yummy 6/10 Price: 5/5 Taste: 4.5/5

Best comfort Chinese food and traditional cart-style dim sum! There are too many other “dim sum” places around here that are odd approximations of the real thing, or just tiny versions of entree dishes. If I want actually good fried taro and meat, luo buo gao, jellyfish salad, rice rolls, etc. I come here! Outside of dim sum hours, their traditional Cantonese food is very good. By far one of the more authentic places in Philly for Canton style Chinese!

I come here every time I'm in Philadelphia. Great food. Authentic. They come around with carts and you pick food from the carts. Delicious. Stop by if you are in Chinatown. Try the soup. It's really good.

Even when I stand in line, Chinese people cut in line and it's so bad. I never want to come to a place like this again.

If you enjoy dim sum brought to you on carts, this is an authentic spot in Chinatown.

Came here during the holidays.TLDR: Got Tip chased on a holiday for sub par service and food.I was here with my family and my little niece. Wait time there was about 20-30 minutes which we knew was going to happen so we waited. Everyone was waiting and was fine.We got placed at a table at the stage and we thought it was weird since there was one on the stage and there was no way to navigate around with how clustered everyone was. We got to the table like they asked but the workers never cleared the table. There was still food left over on the cover and was clearly just finished eating on.Had to keep my niece's hand off the table since we didn't know what the stains were. We waited about 10 minutes until one of the old workers (which was a lot of them) noticed and started clearing things out for us. My cousin asked for some water and we got tea. She never got that water and we used our water bottles we had packed for her since the whole meal no one got to us.We then waited and none of the carts were near us and sadly we had to step down on the stage to get the food and hear them. We spoke Vietnamese but I don't think there was many Vietnamese speaker there. So we spoke in English which was fine for anyone that was younger but was very disconnected with the conversation even for the area that this restaurant is in.Food was okay at best, some were hot, some were mildly warm. No one really flagged us down to ask if we wanted food or were just so slow with the carts that we had to eat extremely slow. Only a few times we had people step on the stage for us to get it.So if you see stage seats just tell them no.My mom wasn't as happy, she use to work in the food service industry, and told us not to tip too high since everything was sub par. She is the type that would give money to homeless people and double tips so I was shocked to hear her say this. So we left a $5 tip for our meal, yes I know that's low but it was for my mom's day. So we end up leaving and my mom went to the bathroom. I paid and came outside and waited with my family. One of the younger guys, with a gold vest, came out and looked for us. He said we never tipped so he was asking us to tip, CLEARLY HOLDING THE 5 DOLLARS SINCE I FOLD MY MONEY A CERTAIN WAY. So he came out demanded us money or would stick around until we paid up. My niece looked concerned so her mom gave him some money and he walked off.Never have I ever been tip chased. None of my family members ever got tip chased. We paid and we were fine just leaving it without any bad reviews but this was one of those times I can't let it slide. For the service it was not worth the money or time/headache to get food during the holidays.I know holidays are bad but sometimes you just got to keep in mind that having an ok moments is better than having a bad one.

Not sure how this place stays in business. Should have read the reviews before coming here about being ripped off and the tipping policy. We come from the SGV and was here we on vacation and needed a quick late late lunch. Every item we ordered was "large" and I think they circled extra dishes. And typical of a dim sum place no service. When it was time to leave, we were harassed to pay 18% and the waitress stood next to us and loudly demanded money in front of customers. Rude af. Do not go here!!!

If you didn’t pay a large amount of tips, someone will chase after you! The service is very horrible, it's not worth any more tips! Never come back !

Went here for lunch Thursday before heading to the flower show based on the reviews. It was a big disappointment. It was like we were basically invisible. A couple of ladies had carts with hardly anything on them and another lady just walked around from table to table with a PLATE of steamed rice noodles. We ended up ordering from the menu and we had to actually raise our hands to get staff’s attention after sitting there 10 minutes waiting for her to come back and take our orders. The food came fairly quick but they didn’t bring any rice to go with it and we had to ask for that as well. To be clear there were hardly any customers at the time. It felt like we were bothering them being there. They only came once to refill our tea (again after raising our hands to get their attention). Big fail on customer service overall. We won’t be going back.

This is a old school dim sum place. It is loud--staff talks loudly, dishes thrown about, you may or may not get yelled at and the place is a little worn down. But the dim sum is pushed around in carts and most of it is good. They do pile up the food at a round table so the waitresses and reload their carts. I imagine it's a space issue. If you sit near that table, it's possible to get first choice. The prices are reasonable for dim sum. We will be back when we are in the area.

This is our favorite place for dim sum on the weekend. We get there Sunday morning soon after they open at 10 to avoid the crowd that will be there an hour later. Everything is tasty and fresh.

I had a bad experience here when the waitress ran into me with the bill on her hand, she put it straight to my face and literally asked for more tips. I did tip her, but she still asked for more. This is very unacceptable. I will not be back here. They should put the sign for minimum tip if they are craving for tip that much. I feel like I just get robbed at restaurant.

Alex T

The head waitress litterally stopped us from leaving to demand more tip, waving the bill from her hand into our face. Completely unacceptable given no signs posted anywhere for minimum tip. Would give 0 stars for service if I could. Will not come back even though food is decent.
