Honestly hard to judge the bagel with lox and creamcheese on it but showed up around 10am on a Monday and I was the only one. The place was "friend"ly and service was prompt. Everyone seemed really nice. Bagel sandwich was good and stuffed. By the time I left the place had about 5-6 mommies with lids waiting for their bagels. Good standard bagel place that was clean and within walking distance of independence mall where my hotel was located! Very clean and definitely seemed to have a strong following in the neighborhood. Ambiance: lots of Queen and Madonna music.

The bagels are really good, more on the denser side but not too dense. Some of the bulk bagels I got had very small holes while others had very large ones, not that it bothers me but I know for some people it's not ideal for making sandwiches at home. Shop is very welcoming and clean. Staff was friendly and helpful.Overall taste is maybe a 4.5/5. They seem to be more expensive than other shops I like to go to in Philly and the area but if you're in the neighborhood it's a solid pick.

Best bagels around! Moved out of Old city a year ago and come up with any excuse to come back to stop in and get breakfast sandwiches. Love their spicy mayo. Also very friendly, cool ppl.. always remembered my daughter’s name. Definitely check it out!

The service is always slow here but it has gotten beyond egregious. Went in and ordered 2 bagels with cream cheese. Was the only one there. It took 15 minutes. I watched the person finish making the 2 bagels then get frazzled by online orders come in and proceed to go make a series of hot sandwiches while my bagels just sat there. All that needed to happen was them be put and placed into a bag. Another employee came up and helped with the online order instead of just...putting the bagels into the bag. Was late for work because they couldnt make 2 untoasted cream cheese bagels in 15 minutes. Thats aside from the insane pricing.

We are visiting from California and saw this place. Smelled great from outside so we decided to try it. I got an everything bagel with jalapeño cream cheese. It tasted pretty good but within an hour I was so sick. I still stuck it out to drive to the Rocky steps and then barely survived the 35 minute drive back to New Jersey before throwing it all up. Definitely not worth the food poisoning. :(

Bagel sandwiches at Philly Style Bagels are outstanding. They offer a good variety of bagels to pick from and they also have vegan options. My favorite one is sandwich lox #2 but I also love their cinnamon and raisins and blueberry bagels. I highly recommend this place!
