Pizzeria Stella on South Street boasts a winning combination of delicious food and a delightful atmosphere. Their pizzas are truly outstanding – I highly recommend the San Danielle for its perfect balance of flavors. If you're looking for something beyond pizza, don't miss the gnocchi with guanciale bacon – it's absolutely divine!Whether you're a pizza enthusiast or just looking for a cozy spot with incredible Italian food, Pizzeria Stella is a must-try. The ambiance adds a special touch to the experience, making it a great choice for a casual date night or a fun dinner with friends.

Olive oil gelato was the highlight of our dinner. It might sound strange, but olive has is used in many Mediterranean sweet dishes. We tried two other types of gelato, were tasty as well. The pizza was one of a kind. We had spinach and another seasonal. Had also grilled octopus for a starter.Service was professional and attentive. We had an outside table. Nice atmosphere and neighborhood

The food is just not worth it. It's quite basic pizza that is ruined by complex flavors and a weird culture of sprinkling finishing salt on every dish. Everything was overly salty and just not worth the price.

Stella has made me happy with its excellent employees, taste and visuality. We ate pizza, pasta and dessert. The place is beautiful from the decorative acid. There is a pizza oven that you can watch in your case. The employees are cute. The only point I stuck on was that the girl standing at the head of the oven did not put a cap on her hair. Especially, it can be ensured that an employer in the eyes of Boyle pays a little more attention and does not have the mind of the customer. The customer quality is very good. Also, the waiters and the employees who stand for the door to meet are also very respectful.

This place is very expensive. I had a sausage pizza ($19.00). An order of Calamari ($17.00) and a soda ($4.00). That's $40.00 before tax and tip. The place was very inviting and very empty when I went there at 1 on a Friday afternoon. I sat at the bar and was greeted immediately. Sunny was my server. I started off with the calamari which came with a nice warm side of marinara. It was perfect. I love the shishito peppers that were mixed in. I haven't seen this done at t0o many places. It added a mild degree of heat and the presentation was beautiful. I wound up getting the sausage pizza. The Aglio Bianco caught my eye--garlic, mozzarella, and Sicilian oregano so I wll try that next time. The desert menu was limited. Nothing chocolate so I knew I would be passing. I must say, The artisans who were creating the pizzas in the open kitchen wee taking great pride with their craft. They worked as a team preparing the pies, they stocked and cleaned the work area. Everything was aesthetically pleasing to the eye. I noticed the beautiful brick oven was not crowded with pies. And while the restaurant was not crowded--sparsely occupied in fact--the artisan who was moving the pies around in the oven seemed deeply focused and attentive to the crust she was turning. The pie looks like it is about 12 inches. While I stated the price was high for my liking, the quality seemed to justify the cost. The pie was perfect. The ends were not overly burnt. The crust was supple with a nice bend when folding. The toppings were not watery and did not slide off of the pie. The sausage had a nice roasted garlicky flavor. The cheese was yummy, I would love to have these sausage for my scrambled eggs in the morning, I was looking to have some leftovers but this pizza was just too good. Sunny was attentive but not overbearing. I would definitely make this my special treat spot for gourmet high quality BO Pizza. Its too far off the beaten path to make this a regular foodie spot within my Philly arsenal. Stella is a 10 across the boards and I had a wonderful experience dining here.

Limited menu. We ordered calamari as an appetizer that was not fresh. It was the worst tasting calamari I ever had. I asked the waitress what was the most filling dish on the menu knowing my son has a large appetite. She said pasta dishes are entree size. We didn’t see her after our order was placed. Our meal came out, ugh! My husband, and son weren’t pleased. It wasn’t even an appetizer size. My husband said his bolognese dish had no taste. I ordered shrimp scampi with linguine. The chef left out the garlic. I asked the host who was walking by to take my dish back. He offered me a menu to pick another dish. I wasn’t interested in another meal at their restaurant. We ended up going out to another place after leaving this establishment. If I could give a zero, I would.
