Dark and mysterious bar, which I love. I will come here solely for the waffle fries with raclette cheese on them… I think about them a little too often! The celebrity skin cocktail is also delicious. Balanced cocktail that isn’t overly sweet.

A serious gem on spring garden. The decor is warm and clean and the staff is incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and prompt. The owners can be seen walking around and touching tables to ensure excellent service. The oysters were incredibly fresh, the fried shrimp was perfectly crispy while retaining moisture and the freezer martini is crisp, cold and boozy. Do not sleep on this place!!! My friends and I can't wait to go again.

Great cocktails in a stylish setting. There's a lot of good stuff in this stretch of Spring Garden: Lucky Well, Triple Bottom, Union Teacher, Cafe Lift. Poison Heart is a great addition. We got a couple of cocktails and some snacks. Fajr and vinegar peanuts were good. The fried mushrooms were trumpet mushrooms, so a bit meatier than I expected. That was a good thing. We made a note to come hungry next time because the burger sounds good. My +1 loved their take on a Paloma. We both loved my drink with rhum Agricole and coconut. Later I got a Goodbye horses, which is a twist on a mint julep and was excellent. So glad this is in my neighborhood.

What a massive improvement on the use of space over W/N W/N Coffee Bar. Poison Heart is a low key place not trying to be the next big thing in the city. They're trying to be the best cocktail they can be in competition with just themselves. The bartenders and staff are all great and friendly. The cocktails are some of the best I've had in the city. They have a fairly limited and somewhat unique food menu, but if you're feeling peckish you should be able to find something. The atmosphere is dark in a kind of romantic way. But it's also lively in a way where romance is not the dominant vibe and can be completely forgone if you so choose. It's the type of cocktail bar where you come to relax, enjoy a couple drinks, and have some good conversations either with your friends or the people around you.

Had a great recent Friday night cocktails experience with friends at Poison Heart. The vibes are dark and intimate, with a relaxed atmosphere. The drink menu was interesting with a good combination of drink and food options. The drinks I tried were all tasty, and the espresso martini particularly good. Highly recommend!

I want to start this review by simply saying we didn’t have the chance to enjoy the cocktail service or food.We stopped in, granted with a larger group of nine people. I’m well aware of the space being smaller than your average bar but we were met with a very bizzare experience. I’ve heard so many great things about this place and obviously the reviews speak for themselves. But as our group walked in there were nothing but unhappy glances from the bartenders and a host that stated he was “nervous that there were a lot of us by the door”.We were preparing to see a show down the road at Union Transfer, so we kindly made it clear we simply wanted a round and the check, so there wasn’t a need for us to sit, but that we would if that’s what would make them feel more at ease with a larger group. There was apprehension around letting us stand to enjoy our drinks which I understand, once again, with a smaller space, but it was very clear we were not welcome there from the start. I’m in the business and have bartended for years, I understand the feeling of a larger group walking in when you’re busy. But they weren’t busy. Maybe there was a full bar but no one in seats from what I saw.One of our party members heard one of the bartenders comment “thank god they left”, or something along those lines when we chose to leave to get a beer at the venue. Maybe an off night...and we were all very stoked to try this spot. We weren’t rude and we tried to make it work. We were all pretty astonished at the lack of hospitality.

Honestly the only negatives were the waffle fries which were painfully salty. Everything else though was great. Bartender was very knowledgeable and helped is choose drinks which were all great. The cocktails are different than your normal fair but well balanced and fairly complex. You get free popcorn which was nice. The ambience is very dark and moody. Music was great

Great food, wine, and vibes! My friend and I split a bottle of rose (half off bottles all night on Tuesdays) and a few snacks, everything was delicious! Will definitely be back to try the cocktails

Drinks were great - we tried the celebrity skin and no more pain. Highly recommend both! Food was tasty too, we loved the mussel toasts. Cute vibe.

Don't sleep on Poison Heart. My favorite cocktail bar in Philly! The food menu, drinks, and ambience are all exceptional and the staff are not at all pretentious. Very sexy date vibes too! <3

Awesome drinks and service - and some tasty grub to boot! Living close by we often felt like we were in a cocktail desert as there really wasn't anything substantial nearby, until Poison Heart opened. They also have a small but solid wine list. Both by the glass and by the bottle. The staff is wonderful and friendly. You are greeted with great service and tasty popcorn. In addition, you can get some tasty raclette waffle fries, fried shrimp and mushrooms, and a solid melt, to boot! We are so glad that this joint opened and will certainly continue to frequent it!
