Love that Philly still has some of these old school traditional shops! Got there late morning on a Sunday and the place was nearly sold out of everything. Tried the breadsticks and they weren't exactly what I was looking for but the rolls and bread were delicious. Right amount of crust to dough ratio and perfect for sandwiches.

The service is kinda crotchety, but I'll wait for the tomato pie. Cannoli are also quite good and the Sarcone rolls can't be beat. I recently discovered there's a 30 minute loading zone in front of the place if you're driving for hit and run.

Picked up a tomato pie, the sauce is A+ the dough is a little too thick but very good. Grabbed cookies also top notch. Everyone knows how good the rolls are.

There's typically always a long line of people and for good reason. The bread is fresh and tasty. I can eat it with just butter. They also have pizza bread which is really good. They sell pastries too but I never tried it here.If you're looking for the best bread, this is the place to go.

There’s a reason why everyone sends you to Sarcone’s for tomato pies. They’re addictively good. Excellent even. A definite must.

Find out who uses their rolls to make their hoagies and cheese steaks and go there. You will get the best sandwich available in Philly! Paesano's Pizza just down the street, for example.

After many years of wanting to try this place, I finally made it. However it was only because I wanted a cheesesteak from Angelo's a few doors down. Picked up 2 slices of cheese and it was so heavenly. Looks like Sicilian, but the dough is so light and airy. It also travels very well, and a few minutes in the air fryer made it seem freshly made. Next time ordering a whole pie and trying some of the breads.

Never have I ever walked in a bakery and left with a full size loaf of bread fresh from the over too hot to handle too good to resist. We ate the whole thing, straight up, no butter, no nothing, in a matter of minutes. We also came back the next day for cookies and more fresh baked Italian bread. So good!

My absolute favorite spot in the city for bread of any sort. Rolls, strombolis, garlic bread, dinner rolls, loafs, etc I always grab a few extra and freeze them. Freezes well. Everything is made fresh and you can definitely taste it. Get there early before they sell out! Pizza is fantastic and super filling. Dough is perfect texture, and the sauce is delicious. Definitely would recommend stopping in for a slice!

I've been away for a while. When I was able to get around again, went to Sonny's for a godfather slammer. I was sadly informed that Linda and Tony are not there anymore. Plus , no more Sarcone's bread either. I wil always have you in my heart (and stomach). Planning a city trip for the seeded rolls. A loyal customer from Pottstown.
