Wonderful service and outstanding pies! We had a really great dinner at their outdoor tables. Can't wait to get back.

This was the second time my spouse and I dined at Spuntino. We enjoy the location and the hipster vibe of the neighborhood. Parking is easy. The restaurant itself is unassuming, comfortable, and cheerful. The arrostito and caponata spuntini are sublime. The ingredients make for delicious spreads, and the bread is made from their pizza dough. The pizzas are sublime, with flavorful, fresh-tasting ingredients. The crust is the star of the show, however; it's comes out of the wood-fired oven puffy and charred to perfection. I can't imagine anyone eating only the center part and leaving the outer crust. It's simply too good. Our server was pleasant and friendly, but service was very, very slow. For dessert, we ordered some gelato and waited an inordinate amount of time for it to arrive. They certainly didn't have to cook it! Still, it was creamy and had a nice, subtle flavor. Despite the slow pace, the experience overall was very positive, not markedly different from our first visit. We recommend this place and will definitely return.

Excellent pizza!!! The Spinaci was my favorite! Flavors came together so well and had salt flakes sprinkled throughout. Pizza dough was some of the best I've tried. The gelato was a bit icy not very rich, but the mini cannolis were really good. And the casual atmosphere was great for a dinner out with the kids. Friendly service, great food--hit the spot!

Delicious pizza in Northern Libs. Fresh ingredients made in front of you with local selection of beers and wines. Now one of my top 2 in the city!

I found myself famished last night so stopped by for two pies. I inhaled both of them (ronzio pie and carbonara pie). Both were an explosion of flavor. Thanks to the lovely Jenna and the crew for taking such good care of me. Will be stopping by again soon.

Sal makes some of the best, and most original, pies in Philly. Be sure to check out the weekly special.

This place has been in my list of places to try because of the very photogenic pictures of the pizzas on Instagram. We arrived around 6:30 and no one was dining there. However, they were busy with takeout orders. I saw boxes of pizza being prepared. One customer picked up six boxes, another one came in to pick up 3 boxes. Since I was hungry when I got there, I order bruschetta and salad to start. My husband ordered olives. I was expecting the bruschetta to be served on a toasted bread or baguette. I was surprised to see a small bowl of chopped tomatoes and wedges of bread made from the pizza dough. My husband's olives were also served with the same kind of bread. I had difficulty putting the tomatoes on the bread . So I ended up eating the tomatoes then use the bread to soak up the liquid, which was super tasty with a perfect flavor of the fresh basil. I recommend mixing up the tomatoes to enjoy the flavor. The salad was small but got generous amount of goat cheese with about 5 slices of apple. The dressing was not drenching at all, I barely saw it. I love the walnuts on my salad. Pizza is personal size (10 inches). The pizza looked beautiful. Very puffy edges with even amount of tiger spots aka char. My Regina pizza had generous amount of mozzarella di buffala. Tomato sauce was fresh. If you like crispy pizza, this is not for you. In my opinion, it's pretty doughy although it had perfect stretch. Due to the bread that came with the appetizer, we couldn't finish the pizza and ended up with 3 slices. When we asked for a box, we were given medium size of plastic container, that can only store 1 slice. We asked for bigger box but was given another box. So, we had to put one slice on top of the other and ruined the sauce for reheating. I don't understand why they couldn't give us a box. Gelato is house made. I ordered coffee flavor and it was decent.

Perfect spot for fans of authentic Neapolitan style pizza. Very high quality ingredients. Honestly the best pecorino I’ve had. The sauce was tomato forward and not too sweet. The crust is super light fluffy but still has that great gluteny texture with that delicious woodfire crisp. Took me waaaaaaaayyyy too long to try this place but I’ll be going as often as I can now

You make pizza that tastes too good. It was not my intention to eat all 4 slices in one sitting, but btw not eating all day and the pie being soo good, I couldn't stop myself. Shame on you ?

SpuntinoWe have ordered delivery and pickup many times from spuntino in the past. This time we decided to go and dine there. We made a reservation and found a parking spot, and walked to the restaurant. We started inside, but it was subzero inside. Trust me when I tell you we like the cold (AC set to 66 in our home), but it was too cold even for us. Luckily there was a lovely table outside, and the sun had just wet, so it was a perfect night to dine alfresco.I started with the arrostito, and the wife had the burrata special. Both were excellent. We each got a pizza, and I must say it was surprisingly better at home. I don’t know. Maybe it was too hot, and the car ride helped it firm up a bit? I had to use a fork and knife as they would not standup to being held in my hand.Don’t worry. It was good but not as good as usual. Many times with delivery, it will be cool, and then I’ll heat it on my pizza stone ( which I prepare beforehand to be piping hot).We had the arrabbiata (mine) and the Formaggio. I ended il talking half of mine home and reheated it the next day, and it was great.Still a favorite in our house.

I am a lover of thin crust pizza and Spuntino's version of the thin crust pie is bussin' as my son would say. Crust was just the right amount of chewy and the pizzas were not overflowing with toppings which ruins a great thin crust experience. Salads were also top notch. Check it out, you won't be disappointed -- the pizzaiolo knows what he's doing.

Favorite pizza in the neighborhood!! The Regina and carbonara are my favorite, really great for dine in or take out.

A solid wood oven pizza. I wish the crust was a bit less poofy and took up less of the pizza. About half the area of the already small pies is just straight-up crust without toppings.

Really excited to try Sputino but we feel it didn't live up to the hype. To start, we ordered the Carbonara pizza and they forgot to put the pancetta on it which is quite an oversight and I'm sure really changed the experience of the pizza. Also got the Capriciossa, which was fairly good. I felt like the outer rim of the crust was so thick it really made the area of the pizza with toppings pretty small. The crust was a little burnt. The pizza themselves are personal pan size and feel like 2 left us still wanting more. May give it another try with hopes of something more impressive...
