Best Mexican food ever in my life! As long as David still own it. Service has always been incredibly. The food is gourmet Mexican.

Closed due to a fire. Lets all support it when they come back! Wonderful decor and by far the best selection of tequilas and mezcals i have seen in center city. This spot has been around for a long time and is a true trend setter.

Do yourself a favor, sit at the bar with Dan. You'll get THE tequila tasting experience of a lifetime! We went for restaurant week but were blown away but the abundance of some of the best tequilas youll ever find! Also make sure to get the tortilla soup! Their presentation of it is fabulous! The star of the restaurant week menu was the steak / shrimp Entrée plate. Shrimp so large they taste like lobster, steak cooked to perfection! Will be back for sure!

For such a high end restaurant, the food was good, but for me not amazing. The service and atmosphere more than made up for it. Pricing was very high for what you get, again, really good but not your socks off.

Tequila's has been a mainstay in Philly since 1986. I stopped by for a Winter Restaurant Week 2023 dinner at the bar, realizing it has been far too many years since my last visit. The bar area was very lively. Since it was also Happy Hour, I was able to get a discounted Daquari. It was perfectly mixed and I'll just say I didn't stop at one. Soon after i got my first drink a plate of chips and salsa arrived. This comes with the meal. It kept me satisfied as ordered and waited for my meal. The restaurant week menu was impressive. I opted for the TAQUITOS DE POLLO appetizer. It's chicken wrapped up in a corn tortilla topped with salsa. A tasty appetizer that got the meal off to a good start. My entree was the ENCHILADAS PLAYA. It's a steal at Reataurant Week prices. It's crabmeat, lobster, shrimp, and peppers wrapped in a flour tortilla and then covered with melted cheese. It's an outstanding dish. I devoured every drop. If it's on the restaurant week menu moving forward you do not want to skip it. It just happened to be national chocolate cake day when I was there, so I got the CHOCOLATE MOUSSE cake for dessert instead of the Tres Leches, which I have had before and remember it being very good. I was happy with my decision. A delectable dessert that is a unique take on the chocolate cake. At the end of my meal I felt really silly for letting so many years go by without going back to Tequila's. I will not make the same mistake again!

This was my first time at Tequila's and they did not disappoint! I see why Jessica @6ABC Action News listed them as one of her favorite restaurants of 2022. I have a new happy hour spot! ❤️❤️

Incredible food for restaurant week, and great service and ambiance. We had the following dishes for restaurant week ($40 dinner), plus some extra dishes: - Ensalada cesar - my friends loved it, but I didn't think it was anything special. It was good but nothing to rave about. All I thought was that it had good crunchiness lol. - Mar v tierra (steak and shrimp) - so good! I had the rib eye steak cooked medium rare, and it was flavorful and tender. Shrimps were huge, buttery-rich, and flavorful. The portions were incredibly filling and generous for restaurant week, and there were sides of rice and black beans too. I was impressed--normally, portions for restaurant week can be a bit skimpy, but at not this place! - Fish tacos - delicious, warm, and very tasty - Ceviche - okay. Just not a big fan of that dish in general. - Tres leches cake - amazing! The cake was very fresh and soft, and the frosting cream was light and not overly sweet at all. - Chocolate mousse - meh. I love chocolate and normally must have chocolate-containing desserts, but I'm also not a big fan of mousse's soft/fluffy texture. Tres leches cake was definitely so much better, and I'm glad I got that one instead.

Great experience EXCEPT one thing. I had such a great dinner at Tequilas and originally I was excited to return- the food and drinks were delicious & the service was quick and attentive. BEWARE they will trick you into shots for the table ... we did not ask for them and they gave us them and then told us they would not remove from the bill because we accepted them. A bit frustrating as the shots were $20 a piece ....

Amazing! My partner and I had an amazing time in this restaurant. The food and drinks were amazing but what really made our experience even better was the service. Our waiter was funny, witty and we spoke for a very long time about music. We also had another waiter talk with us about music and the conversation was so pleasant. I liked every single thing avout the restautant.

We went here on a Saturday evening and it was very busy. The space is much bigger than I was expecting as well. It's definitely on the pricy side for Mexican but the price does fit the environment and service. We started off with their Tequilas Margarita and a Paloma. Both were pretty good and exactly what we were expecting. Nothing more and nothing less. They also start you off with chips and salsa. Everything tasted really fresh but the salsa was mild. No heat whatsoever. Now maybe they know their average clientele isn't looking for any flavor from the salsa but I think they should give you choice because the salsa was well made but it was just disappointing for those that like some heat. I ordered the Carne Asada a la Tampiqueña and my partner got the veggie enchiladas with the verde sauce. The carne asada was well presented and very good. The enchiladas were delicious and the verde sauce was just the right amount of tangy but also very mild.

Came here on a date night. Made reservations and thankfully I did. Saw signs about brunch which caught my attention and now I have to come back for the brunch. We had a friendly and attentive server waiting on us. I wanted to try a bit of everything but decided on the sweet plantain with beef and it was amazing. Everything I bit into was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The food was perfect and a great date night selection.

We went to Tequilas for NYE dinner and it was worth it. We love food and service. The server was helpful. I ordered veggie taco and it was wonderful and chicken dis was yum as well. We got disappointed with tres leches and churros as churros tasted not fresh. Overall, great place for dine and wine, casual dinner with cocktails but desserts aren’t good so won’t recommend that.

To kick off our final semester, me and my friend enjoyed a night out in Philly and dinner from Tequilas, and we had the most wonderful time. Our server was one of the most sweetest people I've ever met, and funny too! We started with guacamole as our appetizer, and it came out with the best chips and two additional sides. No, the chips were so good we ate them down to the crumbs! Next, we ordered drinks. I had their rose margarita, and my friend tried their peach lease and short rib drink. If you're a fan of sweet drinks, I recommend the rose margarita! For the main course, I had the Molcajete de Pollo, which I know for next time can be split between two people. If you're looking for a massive dish, I recommend it. It came out still pipping hot and was served with a side of tortillas, rice, and mole sauce, and it was DIVINE!! We ended off with a slice of Tres Leches Cakes, and it sure gave us a good night's sleep. If oyrur looking for an elegant restaurant for a girl's night, a date for two, or just a night out celebration, Tequilas is the place to be!
