This was a perfect place to attend a private party! The upstairs is intimate but fit us all well, the bartenders were great, and the food was good!

Sorry for the dramatics in advance, but it is seldom that I can truly give a restaurant 5 stars for food alone. This pub is always a joy to visit for the ambiance, service, blah blah blah, but the bangers and mash here are something worth raving about. The perfect balance of umami, acidity, and the flavors of herbs… it is just superb. Not to mention they make a strong cocktail ? 5 STARS

Went to this pub three separate times with family/friends visiting us and each time had rude and inattentive staff helping us.

Hilariously rude and unprofessional staff. I’ve worked in the service industry for years and know it’s a tough job, but I shouldn’t be able to hear the servers/manager talk sh*t about us 3 feet away lol. Might be a better experience if you’re just grabbing a drink with a friend but they do not do large parties well.

Spent approximately 4 hours here drinking for st Patrick's day! We had a big party but our waitress was superb despite the busy crowd. Ordered the Macaroni and cheese and fries once we needed some sustenance to our Orange state sides and it definitely exceed my expectations lol. Literally no complaints i had a great time.

I love the bartender who works in the basement bar. The big blonde dude from England. He's a sweetheart. Very fun to be around. The calamari was actually really good. ??

We walked in the rain and were soaked by the time we arrived. Instead of seating us in the main bar, we were escorted to a dungeon bar a floor below, with a few tables, small bar, and the bathrooms. Food was ok, bartender was amiable enough, but the atmosphere was severely lacking. This is NOT an Irish pub, but a bar with a disguised Irish name. Sure, they had Smithicks sand Guiness on tap, but that doesn’tmake it an Irish pub!

While at the Reading Terminal Market bar, the local we were sitting next to recommended we have dinner and a pint at Black Sheep. Loved my first authentic shepherds pie and the Hendricks Rosemary Gimlet was outstanding. If you arrive and all the levels are open, it’s worth exploring all three floors of this historic old townhouse.

They have the Irish pub vibes and food/drink choices down for sure, but I wish there was more transparency in prices on drinks. We also ordered fish and chips on a Friday but didn't know about the combo special on Fridays for fish and chips + guiness, which would have been nice to get... it was our bad though for not noticing it on the menu. My partner loved his crab cakes, and I loved that the bartender mixed the margarita with mezcal instead of tequila. The cod was good quality, and was a nice sized serving. The person at the door was very kind and we enjoyed where we sat - it was kind of a nook high top which made it more intimate for a date. I would put this place closer to a three dollar sign than two - it's been a long time since we walked away from a place spending $130 for just two people, which wouldn't have happened if we had known prices, but still. We also thought they had happy hour, which if they did it was never mentioned to us, and we went at 4:30 pm on a Friday.
