Good food here—just know they won’t let you eat on their patio if order 2 minutes after 2:30pm, and now I’m hangry b/c they’re such sticklers ❤️?❤️

I would love to write a great review because I ate once there and it was great. Since then everytime I go they are closing over an hour early. I don't know how you keep customers that way but maybe change your hours so you don't piss people off.

Used to be a gold standard cafe on south st I used to frequent just for the vegan club sandwich (I’m not vegan, but this sandwich was amazing) when I saw there was another location and they had the vegan club on the menu, I had to make the trip there to have the sandwich. Had the sandwich and I must say it doesn’t even come close to the one on south street. Lacking in flavor and the texture wasn’t there either. Even the fries weren’t as good. Was so disappointed to say the least.

Café is a little gem hiding in a local neighborhood. Ambience was nice and cozy. Loved the fact that there are so many vegan options as well as vegetarian friendly choices. Tried the stuffed French toast and it was delicious. If you’re the type of person that enjoys a sweet breakfast or even looking for a sweet dessert - this would be right up your alley. To the gentleman that was the waiter and stressed - you did amazing!Vegetarian options: There are both vegetarian and vegan options. There are a good amount for selection of both.

Sure, this is fine, yet every time I leave the Gold Standard disappointed by the quality and value of what I had. Uncharges for veg options are especially obnoxious and off-putting. Luckily you can get a dairy-free latte for half the price elsewhere on the avenue. Roger that.Vegetarian options: They up charge for non-dairy milk. One time I ordered a side of “vegan bacon” and had them take it back because it was so puny.

Me and my husband just randomly picked this spot a few years back and we've been coming ever since. We love the food, the neighborhood and the atmosphere. The avacado salmon is scrumptous and although I'm not a full on vegan, their vegan options are the absolute best.Dietary restrictions: There are vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options.Kid-friendliness: The atmosphere is definitely kid friendly and family oriented.

I love the gold standard cafe. I usually go for their savory dishes (as I once got the pancakes and wasn't too impressed) with the vegan breakfast burrito being my absolute favorite. Staff here are friendly and the food is always delicious and consistent. The only things I feel could be improved are the wait times and prices (which have increased so I eat here less often than I used to), however these aspects don't stop me from eating here occasionally.Dietary restrictions: Good amount of vegan options!

First time trying this place it was actually really good food. I recommend this place to anybody that likes breakfast.

Person at counter blew their nose and didn't wash hands. Had multiple personal drinks in front of them. Plexi seems unnecessary at this point. Place seemed sad and unattended to.

I have been coming to the Gold Standard for maybe a decade now, probably more. The decline in the service/food is disappointing, and my last visit was the most disappointing so far. They are open less now (which did not contribute to the 2 star review, i understand business is business), and the food i ordered was cold. i waited half an hour for it and i was just standing there so it wasnt cold from me arriving late or something. i asked for syrup from the person behind the counter and they made it out like it was a chore, saying there was already some inside. i know for a fact there wouldnt be because like i said i've been coming here for over a decade. i hope to change this review to 5 stars in the future, but at the moment it's not the establishment i know it can be.Dietary restrictions: they have vegan options.

I'm sorry but the only thing saving this place is the actual food and the happy faces of the staff. Why the plastic cups? Are we eating at McDonald's?And I'm so confused by this but... cold eggs in the California Benedict Eggs???? Literally like out of the fridge.
