We went as a group of 4 , the staff was very nice and accommodating, we told the server we were ordering multiple dishes that we wanted to share since it was all of our first time at an Indian restaurant. She had all the orders brought out in serving dishes so that we could divide up how we wanted. The place was very clean, with a great atmosphere and the food was amazing. Highly recommended!

I ordered delivery because my usual place wasn’t taking orders, and I was incredibly disappointed by the total lack of flavor in the butter chicken/makhni. I don’t think I’ll even be eating the leftovers, which is usually my favorite part. There was no taste of any spices or richness, although adding my own salt and MSG made it a bit more palatable. I’m not sure if certain ingredients were forgotten, but it just tasted like nothing. I’m giving two stars simply because it arrived on time and the portion was okay.

Service was good. The food was tasteless for the most part. Lamb samosa was very dry, chicken was tasteless.

Excellent food, love that it's a BYO and the ambience is very nice, would definitely recommend for a date night. Staff was friendly and accommodating, will definitely be back!

The Palace of India restaurant has an inviting and spacious atmosphere, with indoor and outdoor seating. I tried the refreshing cucumber salad, which had a good portion size and was full of great acidic flavors. It paired perfectly with the meat sampler, which was medium spicy and included tender chicken and kababs that were rather sweet. The Lamb Sambusa was very tasty and something I'd order again. The garlic naan was fluffy and aromatic of garlic with a slight crunch in texture. The naan bread tasted great with the chicken soup, which was medium in heat and with several shredded pieces of chicken infused with a blend of herbs and spices. I've tried the Tandoori chicken and Tandoori shrimp on separate occasions, and both were absolutely delicious. Opting for the spicy version added an extra dimension of flavor, and the dishes come with a generous serving of peppers and onions. Every meal I've tried at the Palace of India has been great. The restaurant consistently delivers on flavor, portion size, and quality.

first off, the food was good, but points were docked off as the food overall was oilly and showed that it was cut corners on prep work. the mix grill was great, but some of the items could tell that they were put in a microwave.the service felt very pushy eventough the place was empty, for a thursday night in a college town seemd like it was not the place for an indian restaurant, but again i was only there for a couple hours.the atmosphere and decor was old fashioned and seemed like the place ise to be an old house that was renovated to a restaurant.nice place for what it is. I would go back to give another try for sure.

This place is delicious! Ordered takeout last night, everything came still so hot & entire order was correct. Food was incredible: palak paneer (maybe the best I've ever had), lamb samosas, garlic & cheese naan was amazing, the vegetable Mulligatawany soup was so interesting & delicious, & the Baingan Bartha was so tasty. I can't wait to order from here again.

I ordered UberEats here for the first time and I wanted to share my thoughts!I got the lamb samosa's, Paneer Makhani, garlic naan, and mango juice. Takeout service was great, super easy to order and it came hot and fresh. The samosa's were great, crispy and salty and good seasoned lamb. I've been looking for another place with good lamb samosa's and this one was great! The chutney was also good with it also. The paneer makhani was the best thing, so creamy and flavorful and spicy and comforting! The only thing I'd critique is the Mango juice, it's just a bit sweet/syrupy for me but that's probably a preference thing. All in all great and affordable dinner with plenty for leftovers and I'd definitely recommend!Vegetarian options: On their menu there are a ton of vegetarian options for both Appetizers and entrees.

Stopped in for lunch yesterday. Started with the mango lassi & lemonade - delicious! My partner and I shared chicken pakora which came as a generous amount and we both enjoyed. We shared the lamb korma & chicken tikka masala. All the dishes tasted FRESH. Definitely satisfied my Indian food craving. Service was fast & friendly. They also have a cool muraled back patio as well. Definitely stop in and check it out!

My son recently moved to Philadelphia. When I come to visit from New Jersey he likes to try different restaurants. We basically park the car on Passyunk and just start walking. We passed a few restaurants, then we came upon “The Palace of Indian Cuisine” it was totally empty inside. Initially we wondered if we should even go in. (it was the lunch time) We decided to give it a try anyway, and it was such a delight, so happy we did! We had vegetable Samosa, lamb naan, chicken, vindaloo, and chicken Makhni (butter chicken). The food was amazing, the waitress provided great customer service, explaining everything we had questions about. We should’ve taken pictures to show the food, as it was awesome! We will definitely be visiting this restaurant again.

This place has excellent food. Their service is horrendous, we ordered 4 items from the menu that well surpassed their dining minimum(14.99 per person) and they still commented on us not ordering enough.. we spent about $40 subtotal and it was just 2 of us eating. Then, they kept trying to remove our plates full of food from the table while we were still eating them. When we asked for to-go containers they brought us 2 when we had 4 different foods to pack. We asked for another container and they said no initially. Then we looked complexed and they rolled their eyes and brought us another to-go container. felt incredibly unwelcome right from the start. wont be coming back, theres plenty of phenomenal indian restaurants in the city.
