My partner and I bought a house on the 1800 block of S Hicks Street in 2022, and a major factor in that decision was being around the corner from a *union* coffee shop that has become a neighborhood institution. Since moving in, we’ve patronized the shop almost daily, so the boycott has been particularly disruptive to our routine. Here’s hoping that the Ultimos decide to bargain in good faith with their employees.Solidarity forever.

Used to be a good neighborhood spot, but ever since the company refused to give their union employees a fair contract, it hasn't been the same. If Ultimo would come to the table and settle a contract, I'm sure the coffee and atmosphere would be MUCH better. Until then, I'd avoid Ultimo.

ordered a black coffee and either their blend is gross or it was watered down. It tasted exclusively like tap water or maybe instant coffee. pretentious vibes. There are MANY coffee shops in Philly better than this one. I would've rather had Dunkin than the gross cup of coffee i had here.

There are lots of coffee shops within the Newbold area, but not on this side of Broad St. You might get even more varieties of coffees across the Broad St from East Passyunk to Passyunk Square.But this is the place for coffee! If you like a quieter place with different awesome choice of pour over coffee and a warm service, this is the place.

Aside from the location and parking, this is a highly recommended cafe. The quality of the coffee is quite good, and the staff are friendly. The interior of the cafe is small, but well organized and clean. I drank drip coffee and cold coffee, and both smelled good and were delicious.
