Stopped here after the tour at eastern state penitentiary as it's right across the street. The food was decent but wouldn't go out of my way to come back again if I wasn't already in the area.

Took my son here for the first time, and he loved the smashburger. The warm pretzel was a big hit!
Got there after a tour of the penitentiary across the street, for a quick drink before dinner. We sat at the bar. Service was quick and friendly. The atmosphere was good, considering it was a monday at 5! We were a bit hungry and ordered the sprouts from the happy hour menu, and they were warm, tasty and very well seasoned. Great small selection of draft beers, cocktails and hard liquor. Didnt try the mains but seemed good too.

I’ve gone here a couple of times and for the most part it’s a pleasant experience.This evening the bartender evidently wanted to go home early because she asked if I wanted another and replied, not yet but thank you. I was actually planning on getting another but was not in a rush. Instead of just waiting, she asked twice, and then decided for me by bringing my check to me. I was relaxing and looking forward to a second drink, but if that was the demeanor of the bartender, then I did not want to use anymore money or effort since I given the indirect, “go home” action. She may just be new, but good customer service would be allowing your customer to relax and order in their time since it was an hour and 25 minutes before close. Hopefully it was an off night for her and I won’t have this experience again as I like the establishment.

A Fairmount staple. I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve ordered on their menu over the past 3 years of being a regular. Their brunch menu, specialty cocktails, and beer selection are all great. Urban Saloon is also a great spot to watch an Eagles game as they have a dj set up to keep things lively during commercials - I just recommends getting there very early on games days if you want a seat!
