My friend and I came here for lunch, and neither one of us had ever been here before. The block that this restaurant is in is not the fanciest on Samson Street but don’t let it deter you from trying this restaurant. If you’re looking for something different with a Middle Eastern flavor, you have to try this restaurant. the price is right and the food is taste fresh with clean ingredients. Unfortunately, I took no pictures but I had the steam dumplings and my luncheon partner had a wrap that she raved about.Wheelchair accessibility: There are no steps into the restaurant.
Authentic Afghani restaurant in the heart of Center City. From the outside it looks like a grab and go joint, but once inside you’re treated to excellent service and a quasi-fancy dining experience. Excellent food and a truly pleasant surprise.

The place is good. The atmosphere and the hospitality is great but the food is average and overpriced. I was really excited to visit this place, specially because of the kababs. but tbh the kababs were below average. seems like frozen kababs and it was super salty. while asking them why its salty they said “because i told them to make it spicy thats why its salty ?. Because they use premade sauce”. I mean if you can’t make a food a bit spicy without making it salty then probably there’s a problem. but except for the food part everything was good. also to mention, never sit the seats which are with the glass windows at the front, those seats have roaches in the corners of the wall. I would highly suggest the management to look for it. but the hospitality was amazing tbh.

Best food in the city… owner and staff are the most friendly people! Great portions and the food is always consistently good!! We eat here at least once per week!
I had the Chicken/Lamb combo plate with a little hot sauce added. Also a side order of Falafel. Both excellent and tasty, well prepared.

We tried this place, because it was close, and I've had Pakistani and Iranian food, but not specifically Afghani before. I am going to be making my husband pick this up, when he goes to Philly! We had the Potato Bohlani, which I think came with the spicy sauce? And a mild green sauce. Delicious. Also got the mixed platter and combination Villekebab. I remembered to take a pic after it was almost done! No worries, there will be no left overs. If you haven't tried this place yet, please- do yourself a favor and pick this place! They had dine in, but we were nearby so, did pick-up. Great service! Lamb shanks next time!!
