Its trying to be food foo coffee shop but what it needs is just normal food not everyone likes peppers on everything. Is it too much to ask just have a normal bacon egg and cheese sandwich or a ham and cheese sandwich on rye? The prices are sky high they up charge $.50 for a cup on top of the already high price for coffee I mean $8.36 for a cafe americano and a muffin?? I was hungry and nothing else near by so thats the hook there no competition. I should have just stopped at wawa for their reasonably priced crud. Service was ok came in a respectable amount of time.

One of my neighbors at a block party told me about this place. He claims it is a very secret/underrated spot. So I had to check it out the next day! And he was so right. This place is great if you still are one of the lucky work from home employees. It is located in CHOP's pediatric building. The outside has a nice view of the Schuylkill River and there is a good amount of seating. Best part is it isn't crowded like other coffee shops in the city. Legit no one comes in there. I went for a coffee (the drip coffee was perfect) and was pleasantly surprised that I had the place to myself on a Tuesday morning.

This Jersey girl is out of her element in Philadelphia! I had an appointment in the CHOP building and was so darn thirsty, that I stopped here. Only for a bottled water.Their grab and go sandwiches all looked packed and tasty. Very clean too.

I spent all of August in Philly and found that Waterfront offered the widest variety and the best sandwiches in the city center area. Their hoagies certainly top Wawa, and probably as good as Primo. Today I had a Cubano panini, really quite good.

Favorite place for fresh deli sandwiches, salads and coffee. Love this place.

I would give this place 4 stars for the food and drink and 5 stars for the service. That's why it pains me to give a total of only 2 stars, but I'm basically writing this review to myself since no one comes here except employees from upstairs. The people at the counter are young, friendly, professional. I can't say enough nice things about them. (Thai? Indonesian?) The coffee is fine, and all the sandwiches my wife and I have tried are great. Unfortunately, when I visited earlier this month I found that what Bridget H wrote 12 months ago (in what is the only other review for this location, to date) is still true. There was a rat scurrying along the wall where the four posters are. S/he has a little hidey hole in the corner by the south windows where they meet this poster wall. At one point, I stood up and saw the rat dive into this hole and then poke just its ears out. If this were a movie about a rat having an adventure, this would be kind of cute. It's a cafe, so...not so much. Since I read Bridget H's review, I did not bother to mention any of this to the staff. Still, I hope the manager will see this and get an exterminator out there, or maybe turn this into a cat cafe! -- because everything else is great. On the other hand, for those of you who would like to have a cafe in the city all to yourselves, with soft Muzak, this is the place for you. Just try not to look at the floor by the poster wall.

It was quiet today, probably due to the dreary weather, but their food was good & coffee excellent.

Oh man, I love this place. Everybody that works here is super friendly and the food is always amazing. I come here for lunch quite often and usually get a whitefish salad on a bagel with one of their homemade soups, but really everything they offer is great. I love how the menu changes often and provides unique takes on popular items. Definitely drop by next time your in the area!!

I never write reviews but after what I saw today, i will not be coming back to this place. First of all, the prices of sandwiches are outrageous, shame on them for charging that much in a Children's hospital building, (Unfortunately, there is no where else to go in the area). Secondly, if you look, you will see that there's no real kitchen to prep food or heat things up, so that's a food health violation and thirdly, I witnessed their male worker heat up pieces of chicken and other meat in a MICROWAVE, and not clean it in between throwing meat in there. The man was literally throwing meat in the microwave to heat it up and place it onto someone's salad. That's disgusting and against health violations. For that reason, I won't be returning.
